Absolute worst car rental experience. Reserved months in advance, paid up front, rates dropped but they wouldn’t give the dropped rate. When I asked to upgrade they wanted to charge an additional $400. There is no phone for the location - only an offsite customer service office. I will never rent from Fox rent a car or Car rental 8 again.

I would give this place negative star if I could because the other reviews are correct where you feel like you have been scammed. However I am giving this place one star because when returning the car I expressed my discomfort over the price and got a discount. The $11 per day toll pass is a rip off because one toll costed us max $2 and we used it twice out of 7 days!!! The gas is definitely cheaper in the city versus the price they offer. We paid approximately $570 for 5 day rental for a full size SUV- Dodge Durango after the lady in the glasses gave us a discount. Original bill was $700! for 5 days!! I would suggest Enterprise on the airport!! Emperors quote from Expedia was half of what they offer!! And please double check the cars as there is always some damage on it!!

When I returned the vehicle early, Alberdi mentioned that I was going to be charged extra because I was returning the vehicle early. Never mind the fact that I was forced to evacuate because of a hurricane and leave Florida ahead of schedule, but to listen to Alberdi try to explain that it costs Fox money to store the vehicle when it was not expected back until Saturday. This is outrageous! Never again will I rent from Fox Rent A Car.

The worst rental car that I have ever had ... a lousy customer service, especially the manager Mayra Aquino, makes fun of people and disrespect to customers !!!

I did the exact same thing. It worked just fine for me. I found the shuttle pick up area and waited less then ten minutes for it. Getting the car was quick and the shuttle ride was about 10 minutes. Drop off went smooth and I was back at the airport in another 10 minutes. Take a few pics of the car when you get it just in case.
I have to say, the shuttle driver was super nice and had a great attitude!!! It is true, how English was very poor, but he was working on it. My impression is that they run suck a low cost business that they pay poorly and he couldn't get work elsewhere. As for the counter, yeah, they're understaffed. The only way they could move faster would be if they were more automated, etc. That's not the fault of the men and women at the counter. What I didn't like, is the up selling push. I've rented from Fox in CO multiple times and didn't get pushed quite so hard as here. Most other companies at MCO are at the airport. Several other airport I frequent, you have to take a shuttle for all the car companies.

This place has horrible customer service. We are from out of state, and they did not offer us to pre pay for he tolls, and when we picked up our car, the price was completely different from what we were originally quoted. When the car was returned, they could not answer any of our questions.. HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE !!!!
They try you at first when your picking up the car..I had to repeat myself on everything at least twice before signing anything..european lady( just beign nice dont know where she is from)try to add those charges..after I told her I didnt need that extra stuff..thats where they get yah..
They are not the best place to rent a car!
I would suggest Avis or Hertz. This rental car company is the worse. They quote one price which seems to be a bargain, but the time you get to the counter it's a whole different story and the price is double. Do yourself (and your wallet a favor) make reservations with a reputable company.
Yes there is... You just park the car on the side u pull in at. And the drop box is on the front of the building pass the sliding doors.

Drop off was the only easy thing I can say about this place!!! I'm VERY displeased with them and fighting to be reimbursed for TWO tires I had to pay out of pocket to have replaced. Go ahead and drive over the spikes, they will only puncture the tires if you back up, so go slow and keep moving forward.
I'm a FL resident, and made my reservation online through Southwest for $248. I get there and the lady is asking me do I want gas added on (um, I said NO when I made the reservation--she called me a liar); do I want unlimited tolls (NO, I won't be using them); do I want liability insurance (WAS IT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? YES??? OK, then sure). That will be $366... I say, "Look, take whatever you put on there back off, I'm only paying $248, not an efin penny more; I'm NOT A TOURIST, nor am I stupid." Her response, "Okay, but there is a $1,000 deposit" (on my credit card, NOT debit card). WHATEVER! How long does it take to have the hold taken off? 4-5 days AFTER the car is returned. It had better be... Not only was this woman rude, and tried to gouge me for EVERY PENNY she could, but the car I got is a 2019 already damaged POS. I was sure to mark ALL DAMAGE and also took pictures, as I'm sure they will try to blame me for it. Yeah, again, NOT STUPID... WORST.EXPERIENCE.EVER.

If you have already rented the car and purchased their toll pass, you may not be able to get a refund. They will push many extra "protection" plans or really push you to upgrade and buy extra things when most the time you don't need them. When we were there he tried to make us buy the ezpass saying there's many tolls and we need it, but I knew he was just trying to make extra money. You can try to request a refund but I think their argument is that the ezpass was "just in case" you go through toll.

Yes there is a shuttle every 20 minutes I believe they said. Although we didn't wait that long coming from or returning to the airport.
I don't believe so that's a 45min drive. You may want to check 0ut other rentals at that airport
I'd be a little nervous as they were behind on getting people into cars. The day of the week will make a difference as well. They say they are open until midnight, but with covid they can alter the hours. They ate not at the airport either, something to the site takes about 15 20 minutes, if the shuttle is still running. Personally, I'd rent from a service on-site at the airport. It's a little bit higher cost, but worth it.
15 min ride to Fox, but we waited 40mins for 1 shuttle and that one could only take 2 of the 10 people waiting. Thank goodness it was just my sister and I.

For Florida Residents is $1000. For international drivers is $150. Why? I don't know. I had to use a driver license from other country to get a deposit of $150
They have a shuttle every 20minutes. Customer service is great.
We also reserved a mini van directly though them. They didn't have it and gave us a standard sized SUV instead. The gas tank wasn't full and the total price was not what was advertised.

That varies from one insurance company to the next as to how much, if any, of your personal insurance will cover you if you have an accident. The best thing do is call your insurance company and ask about the level of coverage you have.
It is supposed that in a week, to me still because the week does not go, but if it has not arrived, call and keep the receipt for evidence.

Absolutely the worst car rental place I've ever used. Sorry to hear about your ring. Considering their business practices, it's unlikely that they will return your call or return the ring.
$150 for basic car with a major credit card. Might be more if using a debit.

Yes you pay at the counter for it along with additional: car rental insurance, personal insurance, breakdown cover, car cover, third party insurance, tax, fees, pre-paid fuel and finally the collision fee.
They so shady it's a crime The desk help are rude. Most of al the price you are quoted on reservation are untrue. After arriving from the airport and trying to get our car they said there would an extra 400.OO dollar hold put on the card upon return of the car. When planning your vacation you get average prices for things so that u can budget. If taking a vacation and you plan on expenses being $800.00 which includes all essentials you are quoted it is impossible for you to have $400.00 of that to be held. Greatest disappointment. On a lighter note we were able to use Uber that actually turned out to be cheaper than Fox. We got to meet drivers from all different places who were polite and also recommended great places to go and to eat. Know this will probably never be addressed by Fox but wanted to warm future patrons..
