Well, I've been upstairs before, my family hasn't.
I find charging around $100 per person for the elevator ride up and down unreasonably expensive.
A real rip off.

An essential stop if you are in New York. If you buy the City pass you have the entrance included. From my point of view, it is worth going up at sunset and taking photos both in the afternoon and at night. 100% recommended
Great service, well preserved. There is a person at every corner to meet, greet and guide you to wherever you need to go. Proper signs to follow that makes this place very easy to navigate. A must visit iconic place in NYC. I visited a little while ago paid $37 per person. It It's worth it. Have a nice time
The first deck is on the 86th floor and is outdoors. The second one is on the 102nd floor and is in a small room with windows all around. The second has a better view and fewer people (since visiting it requires a separate ticket), but also very little space to move around. On both decks, you walk around the edges looking at the city.
I returned them to K-Mart and spent the $1.99 on breakfast at Waffle House. 2 eggs over easy, short stack pancakes, bacon, sausage, all the coffee I could drink, and for an extra 89¢ I got from a hobo they threw in a cheese danish. I walked outta der STUFFED. Couldn't eat for the rest of the day.
Yes, you can bring your backpack or bag. It will be security checked like in an airport, but after that you can carry it with you for the entire visit.
One of the best observatories and tourist attractions in New York. Unlike the others, the Empire State Building has a lot of history and charm that newer buildings don't.
Has anyone gone up to the six hundredth floor?
If so, is Olympus beautiful?
Like, from the descriptions it's amazing, but I'd like to see it in real life
Currently, the Empire State Building Observatories are closed. However, once we re-open, you can purchase tickets on our website to visit our 86th and 102nd floor Observatories! We do have a variety of different ticket packages with difference prices, which you can view on our website.
I am interested in the size - the square - of the Empire State Building on the ground floor and in the middle of the building - width and length in meters.Thank you, John.
If you want tickets to the Statue of Liberty you need to buy them at least 90 days in advance. Empire State Building I believe have time tickets I just don't remember how long they're good for
Construction started March 17, 1930; (87 years ago)
Completed April 11, 1931; (86 years ago)
Opening May 1, 1931; 86 years ago
Tallest in the world from 1931 to 1970
Not sure, but as others have said, the elevator ride is extremely quick. Plus the ceiling has animation that male it look like it's open so it probably doesn't feel as small as it could
If you stay in Manhattan at the New Yorker on 8th Ave and 34th St, you'll be perfectly placed for Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens, Times Square, and much more👍
Yes, you can go as high up as you want, I was just taking pictures and everything that was outside. Your choice though personally I think the highest floor.
It costs like 45 dlls, but if you buy the NY Pasa it can be better since it includes many more attractions, remember to always carry your COVID vaccination certificate since they ask for it in many places.
We bought the citypass and this place was already included. Even with the Citypass they can visit it 2 times. If you go in the morning you can come back by 7pm since the views are at night!
Research and plan ahead in order to meet your schedule regarding tickets because it is "timed entry". Sunset provides a fantastic view of the New York City skyline lit up.
I think that if it is small they let it pass without any problem, in case you have something that they do not allow they keep it for you and with a code then you claim it !! Good luck ..
It has the museum and sightseeing along the way to reach the elevator. And when you're in the elevator to go up, look up in the ceiling they prepare something fun to watch. But overall for me I feel the way to get 86th floor is more interesting and entertaining then when I get to the 86th floor
You'd have to Include where your departing from. If your departure is from Latin America to NYC for a 1 way trip to NYC cost anywhere from 250$ for economy up to well over 1000$ for first class. Again these are just estimates from Venezuela to NYC, Colombia to NYC, Puerto Rico to NYC, Dominican Republic to NYC. In NYC we have two major airports LGA and JFK. I would advise you not to fly into JFK because it will most certainly be more expensive.
A goal to have the most modern architectural wonder of the industrial nations. A feat to have the will and way with modern engineering with steel and mortar to build the tallest. It is a symbol of wealth and power of that time. That is one reason for it. A modern revolutionary marvel. To me it still is.
The Empire State Building in Midtown Manhattan offers a military discounted rate of $36.05 per person with a military ID for tickets to the 86th Floor Main Deck Observatory. Those in uniform are admitted free of charge to the observatory. This military discount applies to active duty, veterans and NATO members only.
It consists of 102 floors, has 72 elevators, and reaches a height of 1250 meters (381) meters, receiving 441 meters with the TV antenna. The building has been the tallest building in the world for 40 years and it shows a cultural phenomenon to Americans, the general population and New Yorkers, and is almost completely gorgeous 🙂
what floors can you visit? what do the floors do? like why are there so many floors
Selma Helene Nilsen | Sep 22, 2021
Gina Marroquín | Sep 22, 2021
There's only a few floors to visit. You can see exhibits and of course, the view of NYC. You have to purchase tickets to be able to get to the highest 2 floors but the exhibit floors are included.
Starrett Corporation or Starrett Brothers is the old name of the company
Is everything really so beautiful ?!

On this day, the Empire State Tower was inaugurated in Midtown Manhattan, a symbol of ambition and innovation, and it consists of 103 floors. It was not visited by former President John Kennedy.
How can I see inside architecture of the building, do I need a ticket for that?
Valeria Weiss | Sep 22, 2020
AuPair Lavitas | Sep 22, 2020
Ohh when you buy a ticket it's just to go to the museum and to the 86 floor where you can get the NYC view. (There's another ticket to go to a higher floor) but I don't think you can actually get like a tour to see the architecture of the building. Maybe search in Google

Hi, I'm from Argentina, I travel in a few days, I wanted to know if attractions such as this and one worl are going to close. If someone has information it would be very useful. Thank you
Hello!
The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant. We have handicapped restrooms on the 86th Floor Observatory and also have lowered viewing walls and binoculars.
Service dogs are allowed throughout the building.
Motorized and non-motorized wheelchairs are permitted.
The 86th Floor has ramps to make getting around easier and lowered viewing walls so that visitors in chairs can still take in the view. The 102nd Floor Observatory features floor-to-ceiling glass windows with unobstructed views.
You try yo go with your camera and not so many things, the control point is a security check to avoid alcoholic drinks, sharp objects. Tip: be pacient and ready when the revision comes, not take long...the visit it worth it a lot...
I don't know. We were there at noon. There is plenty to see without going to the highest level. I would just go to the 79 floor and then you can go to about 86 on another elevator. That's the iconic level. Museum items are excellent along the way up.
Unfortunately I haven't been to the sears Tower yet but I highly recommend the empire state building tour both during the day and after dark to see the lights, early morning roughly 2/3 hours it gets very busy.
Yes you can. We had a 3 day New York Pass and used it to go to the top of the Empire State Building just last week. We were allowed straight in past the queue and our passes weren't scanned so we could have gone back again if there had been time!
When it is windy day, how about(how much)is the wind gusts at outdoor observation deck at 86th floor?

How does it work with the Go City explorer pass? Do we need to get a physical ticket from the kiosk or just join the queque towards security? Does this pass gives access to the higher deck?
Ashutosh Karan | Sep 23, 2019
Genius Machado | Sep 23, 2019
The pass does give access to the higher deck however you gotta get a physical ticket at the kiosk desk and not the kiosk smart ticket machine because I tried scanning my New York pass just 2 months ago and it couldn't process . So I had to use the customer executive at the desk. I advice you to reach there 1 hour early as there are many such people (pass holders) waiting in line for their Observatory ride. Trust me it's fabulous and worth the wait and all efforts. Have a safe trip

You will need to contact your bank to sort this issue.
Hi Laurie, I suggest you to visit that place in the morning. Besides, it's necessary only one ticket to visit all the structure and with the same ticket you can come back in the night.
102nd Floor Observatory: Available at Observatory ticket office (2nd floor) or 86th floor kiosk. Cost: $20. Note: The 102nd floor observatory will be closed to the public for renovations December 17, 2018 through July 29, 2019.
Express Pass: Purchase from an official Empire State Building employee at the onsite ticket office on the day of arrival to move to the front of each line. Cost: $33. Please note: Street sales agents outside of the building are not employed by the Empire State Building Observatory and are not authorized to sell Express upgrades.
For the day, I'd say some time Monday - Friday since I'd assume less people would come than the weekend.
When my boyfriend and I went, we went a little before sunset so we could get pictures of both during the day and some at night, and I'm glad we did. The line wasn't nearly as long as it was when we were leaving, so if you don't want it to be as crowded when you go, I'd say go during daylight.
Yes there is, but you have to pay extra, I think it's like 37.00 us per person to get to the 86th, and another 13.00 us to get to the 102nd, but that is if you are paying at the building, I think it's cheaper if you purchase online, not sure though, have fun!

For a long time it was the tallest building in New York City. Plus it has an amazing view of the city, the rivers and neighboring areas. It has been featured in many popular movies including "When Harry met sally"
Yes, it has a cost. Nearby they sell packages to visit various attractions, including the Empire State. It is much cheaper than paying each ticket separately
None.
One escalator up from lobby to the first level for tickets. One elevator up to the 80th floor, one more elevator up to 86th floor observation deck.
U $ s 38 with the city pas that gives you access to the empaier, Guggenheim, intrepid, 9/11 museum natural sciences, art you save a lot and avoid queues
Designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and completed in 1931, the building has a roof height of 1,250 feet (380 m) and stands a total of 1,454 feet (443.2 m) tall, including its antenna. Its name is derived from "Empire State", the nickname of New York.
Construction startedMarch 17, 1930; 87 years ago and CompletedApril 11, 1931; 86 years ago

Dylan Brace | Sep 23, 2018

Visitors are not allowed anywhere else outside of the observation deck. For that reason, I don't know. But I think above the observation deck, it is the roof top with the antenna tower.
about how many centimeters high is it

You can buy on the same day but will need to wait in line. We had nyc city pass which turns out cheaper and we didn't have to wait in line. We zipped through quickly.
When you walk in you are directed to a set of escalators, which bring you onto the second floor of the building. Here there is a security check and then ticket booths for those who do not already have them. Then you walk through a display about the history of the building and have your picture taken in-front of a green screen. Around the corner and up the first elevator brings you to the 80th floor, an observation room that is fully enclosed. Another lift or some stairs can then be taken to the 86th floor which has the famous outside viewing platform. From here gou can take unobstructed views of all sides of the new york skyline. Finally there is another observation floor higher up but it can only be accessed via a VIP ticket
Hello, I want to know if to visit it I must make a reservation, if so, where is it done? Graciaaasssss !!
Fernando Bernava | Sep 23, 2018
Sergio Alfonso | Sep 23, 2018
No need to book. Once you arrive, you go to the counter and get your pass. It can be for that same moment or you WILL have to wait a while. You have a coffee and you go back.
The cheapest is 37 US dollars , but book yoir ticket beforehand online to avoid the long queue.
Also you can look up deals and packages for tickets of a few landmarks. It might cost you a bit less. Good luck
37 dollars to the 86 floor, well worth the visit. Pre purchase your tickets to avoid the queue /line. You will get a voucher code.
Fantastic art deco interior. Amazing view on a clear day, obviously.
Open year round and generally will not close due to weather. With that being said if there was a hurricane or something like that then the weather may prevent them from opening.
Today, it's Alzheimer's Awareness so they're lit teal. They're lit various colors to represent various things, depending on the day. You can check their website to see what the occasion is.
There are 3 levels for viewing and the highest level for viewing is the 102nd floor. At the 2nd level one needs to take another ticket to go to the 102nd floor for viewing .
Burj khalifa is better if want view of the city, eye catching sunsets. The empire State building is built at the time when there were no cranes and heavy machinery available, which makes it incredible example of engineering. The race for building tallest skyscraper is never ending. But both are worth visiting once in lifetime.
