Is this better to see during the day or at night?

I believe it is better during the day I never checked it out at night but then again it's a beautiful place

Night time is the best time to visit, the city lit up at night is just beautiful.

I've only been at night because to me, the lights at full dark make for a stunning view.

Our most popular time to visit tends to be sunset, however many guests love our nighttime views the most!

I say at sunrise/sundown

Both times did day time while ago. But night time is the best time.

We did both day and night. I liked the night visit over the day. City view was very nice and pleasant during the night and it took us comparatively less time.

I visited the Empire State late afternoon, it was amazing. It all depends on your preference but there is a magic being up there and see the city.

Don’t go at night I would say the sunset is the best time or even a little bet before sunset so u can see the the city and then see the city lights goes on , it’s really amazing , but don’t worry u can stay in as much as u want .

Depends on what you want to see! Daytime was v. good even though it was cloudy.

I haven't been there during the night but I am sure it looks as beautiful during the night if not more. Do post pictures if you end up visiting at night.

Day time

We went just before sunset, and it was beautiful, got to see the city in the day light and after dark

We went at night, the view and the city lights were fantastic!

See it at both times. I wanted to see Times Square at night then went to (float) walk back to 34th street and wondered how cool it would be to see it at night and at sunrise.

Night was awesome seeing all the lights lit throughout the area.

Either time. Night gives you the beautiful twinkling effect. Day gives you a further and clearer view.

We went at sunset using a New York pass and there was a $10 surcharge per person, but well worth it.

Try and do both, sunset time. There's a reason they have a premium price during this time.

Depends what you preffer. If you want to see beautiful colors - obviously: sunset. If you want to see City details- obviously: day. If you want to see what does it mean "The City That Never Sleeps"- obviously: night. But anytime is beautiful. Once I was even during the thunderstorm. :) (They ask us to go back inside).

Like i did. I went almost sun down. So i catch both at the same time.

I would also recommend to visit in late afternoon, then hang around until the sunset. Don't miss the round room on top. It's really worth the ticket price.
