Thank God for this facility and the entire staff there. From the intake, till the time I left 2 months later, I received mental health counseling as well as substance use coping skills that have prepared me to move forward with a more productive and fulfilling life. Additionally, I received funding for school and obtained an apartment, all orchestrated by my team leader and other staff. I'd bet my bottom dollar you can't find a better staff anywhere that is more caring and professional than the WPB VA DOM!!!

My husband has tried for over a year to get mental health help. He's had multiple phone appointments scheduled, and every single one has been canceled with no notice. He went to the emergency room in January for chest pains and didn't get the test results until April. After having surgery he was made to wait in line at the pharmacy for his pain medication. I could keep going, but I think you get the point. This is the absolute worst medical facility I've ever seen.

I was up all night with a fever and drove myself here by 6:30am. I was both physically / mentally exhausted, my head was pounding and my whole body ached. So, I walked up and the receptionist, who by the way was passed out at the ER Intake, and woke her up and she had someone let me in to take my vitals. Afterwards I was put into a room, where I waited 45 minutes to be seen. I asked the nurse if she knew how much longer the wait would be and she "rudely" said, "when a doctor gets to, you will be seen." I went back in my room and waited another 15 minutes. Finally a doctor showed up. The Doctor was very nice and informative. She informed me that I needed a COVID-19 Test and prescribed some medicine. Another 30 minutes went by and I asked the nurse, if there was any updates. The nurse was even rudder, therefore, I just chose to walk out. Literally, all 5 employees had cracked smiles as I left. Now, driving to the MD Now Clinic, the VA Doctor called me and apologized and tried to persuade me to return but the atmosphere was so tainted from the disrespectful employees, that I never want to return to the VA. I went to the MD Clinic and they were very nice and welcoming. I've never had an unpleasant experience with the VA, until this day. Its sad to see how awful our veterans are treated. And then 2 weeks later.... I received a BILL! ________________________________ Kevin, I appreciate the response. I called the number listed on 4/14/22 1:30PM. It was routed to voicemail and the recording stated your mailbox is full, then I was disconnected from the call...

When it comes to service (in person) at the VA I give it a 5, but when it's over the phone my waiting period could be over 20 minutes or more. I use to think that the Miami VA was bad, but at least they pick up.

Go to first floor all the way next to the East Entrance and go to the info desk on the left side, they will take your picture and you get the card fairly quicker than they say
Audiology and speech services is on floor 3A at WPBVAMC
I believe patient records information are handled by an office in basement. You can call hospital main number to be directed to office and method of obtaining medical records release.
Yes, however, the ER entrance has been moved to the Main Entrance due to construction.
If you go to the East Entrance and make a right go to the counter and they take your picture and you get the card fairly quicker than they say
Yes William the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center does preform radiation in house for both cancer treatment and for diagnostic purposes. We have a dedicated cancer center building attached to the main medical center. Please let us know if you would like more details, thank you.

You need to speak with the VA your transferring to and ask how to enroll. I believe it is very simple.
They also have a contact with "Mon?" the Japanese gardens for discount (And) Veterans Curative Programs, ding ding,.....
Call or go there and ask.
When I moved, I used myhealthevet to change my address, it didn't change it in the system. I had to get the address changed while at the WPBVA.
8 to 3 Monday through Friday or when your primary care team gives you a referral. Sometimes when Audiology calls you to make the appointment they will refer you to an outside authorized vendor.
They are Wonderful there, if not perhaps, they can tell you what to do!
This is from may 31st. Our Emergency Department (ED) is undergoing renovation to improve its efficiency and flow. As a result, the front entrance to that department will be closed starting today through Fall 2018. During the construction period patients and other visitors may enter through the Main Entrance of the facility and will be guided to the ED by signage.

Call the main line tell them which department you need they will ask your name and last 4 of your social and cancel
I think you would need to call the Primary Care Physician for that kind of help.
I just called the operator who informed me that services will be held tomorrow at : 10 and 11 am.
Yes, I have the best Primary Doctor that listens to me and gets me the right Specialty care doctor for my problems.

Call the main number and they will transfer you.
Anytime they are very flexible
Call the hospital in West Palms phone number. Then they transfer you all around and you make an appointment with a new doctor. Another option is to drive there, we did, but that can depend on your circumstances and health. You can actually go to any VA any time you want.
It's called CLC and they will provide more information it's in the hospital campus

No, everyone is scanned for temperature as you drive in, only one entrance off of northlake is opened
Dan, they offer so much more than just medical services. It is - if you wish - a community of veterans that know what it is like.
Good Morning, For more information on the status of your VA Disability rating call the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) at 1-800-827-1000. Yes
3rd Floor at the West Palm VA Medical Center. Must be Veteran with VA Medical Card, have a Service Connected Dental Disability on Record or be 100% Service Connected.
Call the VA REGIONAL OFFICE in your state
LGBTQ veterans are there, but they are a part of the Veteran community, PERIOD.
Call the enrollment dept! They will tell you what to bring in to enroll. They will tell you what you qualify for, it's different for what type & how long & what time you served. Also what branch of service you were in.
🇺🇸Because of President Trumps popularity I have not noticed a picture of him at the VA MEDICAL CENTER 🇺🇸
Go to va , human resource. Available careers posted on wall or ask for application
No. Call the main number to the hospital and they should be able to direct you where there is one
The hospital has several programs and resources. They will assist you. Don't go in there demanding things and be thankful for each and every step up from your situation. Remember where you are at right now. It's a slow process but for whatever reason those assisting you had nothing to do with it. Resources are limited and needs are great. Anyone reading this donations to Veterans Organizations are sorely needed. Go Army! 🇺🇲
Your best bet is to donate locally at Salvation Army and Goodwill. The Main Hospital isn't set up for that. Also the local area Veterans Office may assist if you're looking specifically for Veterans only Organizations. Medical devices are not frequently desired. Mostly health and welfare item's including cash are desired, thanks. Go Army!!!
No, just raise a ruckus. 😏 Office is in the basement, check with them
Depends if you were enrolled in the DEERS program. Call your local CBOC ) Community Based Outreach Clinic Social Worker and they will assist you. That is advice and your quickest means lto an answer. Aloha
Just confirmed with the substance abuse clinic that it is indeed still the policy, due to the nature of the ward it is required for patients to be restricted to the ward for safety and for continuity of care.
Turn right in hall coming out elevators on 5th floor.
It takes about 3 weeks to Post to your account; Nutz, right. My appointment was March 11th and it just posted to my account today. Not sure if they have computers yet, probably still using their fingers or abacus's.
Get A Replacement Copy of Your DD214. You can request a FREE copy of your DD Form 214 simply by visiting the official United States Government site vetrecs.archives.gov/VeteranRequest/home.asp and filling out an online form.
Let them know what's your new address
Nope, eh...do we need to build a wall on that border as well? hahahaha, 😀. Sorry my brother in Arms only for us Americans
Call for enrollment ask them how to transfer to west palm va. You are allready a patient at a va hospital and clinic.
Contact Advocate office and VA Police?
Yes, you may. Contact any VA facility. I attend the VA Hospital in Riviera Beach. 7305 N. Military Trail. Of. Hwy. I 95. Blue Heron exit. I was there in the ER last tuesday and past by the flu immunizations clinic. I am very pleased with the Medical Staff and all the patient care i received.
To receive services, any, at the VA is a lenghy process. First you have to register and have an appointment with your primery care. Then he or she will refer you to an specialist. Then Specialty care MD will decide. Might send you out to Community Care outside the VA system. Then you need to see your Primery Care MD again, it's a lenghy road to dissatisfaction. It's a game you need to know how to play and for Dialysis there is no time to waste. Pharmacy and Meds is worh it, but should run out of refills it's a waiting game. The system is overwhelming with patients, not enough personnel. Dr Jafari an ENT MD. did a great job on a 3 1/2 hour surgery on my sinuses very greatful for that. Don't ever miss an appointment. Dialysis could be done right away i feel and so is the Pharmacy. The rest might take a while. Transportation am not sure, depends where he lives. I like the Hospital i eat there oftentimes buy staff at the Px, just have to ne very patient.
Call the V.a. hospital in west Palm Beach and ask the operator to transfer your call over to BUILDING 10 and they can answer your questions. You welcome.
Maybe call ER and ask. They prolly cant give info out because of hippa
Go to the website dod.va.gov and register. You can access all your records and disability information
MRI is in the basement. Go to the west entrance make a right follow the signs to MRI to the it's dedicated elevator go down and when the doors open you are right in MRI. If no one is there, the phone on the desk has 2 extensions you can call to let them know you are there
Their website will give all information that is pertinent to the general public.
If you are registered and have a VA medical card you are eligible for an eye exam and free glasses. You need to get the referral from your primary care doctor at a VA Clinic. There are Clinics in Stuart, Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie. If you need help get to a clinic or in an emergency go to any hospital or VA Medical Center on Military Trail right off of Blue Heron Blvd.
The VA Hospital in W. Palm Beach. Or any hospital.
You need to go to a VA clinic and see a doctor. The doctor has to refer you to an audiologist at the VA Hospital.
good luck and document , who you spoke with, day, time you turned in docs and take a pic of thr docs beside a paper. trust me, it will serve to be cautious..
West Palm can request them
365/7/24
Not sure but it's the biggest one I've ever been to
yes, you can get your hearing tested at the VA. no it does not have to be service connected.
Robert is correct. He can enroll directly at the hospital. I don't remember if they needed it but he should probably bring a copy of his DD-214.
Please clarify the question... Are you talking about hearing aids issued by the VA?
