Creatively Rachel
Great customer service for donations. I donated some items and I will donate again here soon since they give away and don't sell the items.
Laurie Carter
Wonderful organization supported by our church. Making a difference for thousands of folks over the years!

They don’t help… System is rigged for us to lose
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Do y’all help with first time deposit that’s moving to a new apartment I need help really bad I move in on April 16th
Make sure to arrive by 8 am and keep in mind after check-in people are seen in this order; people who have been staying in a hotel due to a padlock on their home, people who have an eviction for that day, those whose utilities have been off for several days, those whose services are due for disconnection that day. Another note about people needing help with rent and/or utilities, they may ask you to return the day the services or eviction is due to occur. I hope this information helps!
If you have to wait 30 days that must be a new policy because when I lost my job, I went weekly. They do have a limit on the amount of help on a yearly basis and this is from my own personal experience. But the best way to know is to go there. Be blessed.
Hello, sorry if you were given help to pay for your electricity, what happens is that I have never asked for help but now I need it
You do not need an appointment. Its best to be there early in the morning. Around 7 or 7:30 and get on line. The doors open at 8. I am not sure about helping with the hotel issue.
currently, applications for the same emergency can be made once in a 30 day period; crisisassistance.org has more detailed information on how to apply. The website will be updated as the guidelines change so it's always the most accurate source of information.
They may be able to help with emergency food stamps but it does go according to emergency status. It's best to ask in person because everyone's situation is unique.
Google crisis mintinisy
Their website says they do helping with rent. You need Rental lease, picture id, all social security cards foe everyone in your household, and proof of all household income.
Is Crisis Assistance Ministry accepting clothing now?
I don't really know I'm at work myself you can callcrisis assistance I'm pretty sure they operating on normal hours you have a blessed day
I believe that you will need to find your own mover. You can normally find someone to move your things for cheap on CL.
If you have paper from the court, you can try to fill out the application. Eye arrives early before 6 in the morning.
What is your question? This organization helps people who end up on the street and help them through other organizations to get furniture and other things to help them start over. I hope this helps you ...
Its based on zip codes. Check their website.
Community link should be able to help on North Tryon downtown across from the ballet second floor brick building inside of the black fence
I am sure that if you will be given information about the question the truth is very good attention
They will send check directly to your rental property management
No one will answer the phone. you have to go into the office. Be there by 6am if not you'll be in a very long line. Be also prepared to get a appointment notice for another day which is good as you are sure to be seen.
Yeah youneed to make sure you have all of your identification for everyone in your household and all of your income verification documents for the last 30 days
Yes u have to b a hotel 30 to 60 days nd have eviction notice
Disconnection notice, proof of income for anyone 18 and older, proof of residence, SS cards of everyone living in the home
Get a referral from your worker
Go on in they will see you then....assess your situation and go from there. Either way, the opportunity is there do your part and give God something to bless!!! It's worth it!
What is it you need help with? Crisis I believe only deal with local area funding unless you need furniture then yes but you have to pick it up yourself if they have items available for you. Calling would probably be best. Hope everything works out for you.
It open on Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 and on Saturdays at 10:00
No
It depends on the need. I was told by a friend that they help people with clothing as well but if you need rental help the person whose name is on the lease must come in wit a copy of your lease, turn off notice etc. Again, everyone needs help at one point in life. It's better to get the help you need than to be in the streets, in the dark or without food or clothing. Make it a matter of prayer and have Faith. Don't let negativity get in the way. I will keep you in my prayers!!!
Crisis will assist with rent, utilities, and food stamps. They provide bus passes as well when they have them. It's worth a shot to go see. But you have to go in person.
No referral needed. If you're going for emergency financial assistance such as need assistance with rent or utilities bills you can go and apply from 10am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday. For other items such as clothes, appliances or furniture, you have to call and make an appointment.
They mostly help with bills like electric, water, or gas. They do pay rent or mortgage of you have proof of occupancy.
Yes they do before 5pm but if you come after that time people normally leave it at the door
With this place they help with bills and have a free store.. but they don't help with housing.. you have to call 211 for assistance.... With the free store they have so much stuff you get instead of buying it from a regular store and they have a baby bundle to give away
Yes they will help with utilities. Go in with your need complete an application, and you will be assigned a case worker who will call you.
Yes, I know the bed and mattress can be donated at the furniture department. I think the other items go to the other department on Spratt St.
Crisis are open on Monday through Friday for assistance. Tuesday through Saturday for the free store. Donations are Monday through Friday too
Not sure. I don't think so. Try calling them see what they say. What kind of repair do you need?
What size are you? Because I have some jeans pants and shorts for men
RAMP does they partner up with crisis
Women and men shelter they
As far as crisis line states not accepting clothes at the time but going there I see ppl picking through a pile of clothes... or the salvation army
There are other agencies they can take furniture. Like goodwill, Habitant for humanity, etc. But you only have to drop it at store. Good thing is that they can give you the estimated cost of the furniture instantly whatever you donate and you can claim it while filing tax.
Yes they do
Understandable, it could go 1 of 3 way...they may contact your employer or they may ask for recent pay stubs or both. But remember you're in need so it's not about status it's about getting what you need
No u need to get a print out from the social security office they need it for each family member along with the bill u need paid last two weeks of wages or up to date income if any and your lease agreement.
Jus call
Last Wednesday was not busy
I believe you do. However, I would call them as they may require you to bring certain other documentation with you.
Yes BUT...You will have to show proof of income the show that you can afford to pay the rent on your own
They have in the pass not sure if they still do.
They will help now just take all paper work
You would need to call them
No u can not use it from ur phone. Must print it off an have with you.
I don't know the answer to) that. You would need to call them and ask.
Probably not. I mean you can try but they're pretty strict about sending someone in your place. I would just reschedule to be on the safe side and not waste time and gas
Call 211 when you arrive in Charlotte to see if there is space available.
Yes they do. Just go there. They homeless, out of work, etc.
No just payments that put you in a crisis situation rent, gas, lgts, water etc. Things that are a necessity not luxury
Hi no they don't help with car payments I don't think. But, call them and ask them.
You need to gand talk to them..but be at Crisis early like 6 30 or 7..they open @8 am
Sorry you experienced such a long wait they are very short staffed and try to see everyone within a timely manner. You have to exercise patience especially when seeking assistance.
One of the first categories they call into the lobby is for people with eviction notices. That could include hotel bills. I'm not sure.
Volunteers often bring lunch or other snacks for families still awaiting assistance. However, it isn't available every day. If you are looking for somewhere you can walk in and get lunch, check out Urban Ministry Center or Charlotte Rescue Mission.
Only the person whose name is on the lease can get rent assistance
They may if you have bulk goods to donate. Call them to inquire. There's a drive thru drop off as well for donations. you dont even have to get out of your car and you are given a receipt for tax purposes.
No...smh...you have to be there at 5am... to line up for the store to not be so far behind in the line...now this store is not open until 9am or so..but ppl are there early...for good pickings...even if you go on a Saturday morning...be there at 5am
Urban Ministry Center works directly with individuals already experiencing homelessness. They can help identify options for someone in the situation you describe. Our services typically focus on the prevention of homelessness before it actually occurs.
Also try DSS. Social services. They have programs like this for working moms and student moms. They don't tell you about programs such as these you have to ask. Hope this helps
Yes, we have funds available depending on your individual situation and specific needs.
Be prepared to stay a while.
They may pick up because I know they don't deliver and they have a truck so they may pick up items
They help based on the severe need. They are going to want to see a past due notice or court papers.
It really varies according to your situation. Funds have different guidelines for different situations, so it is typically best to come in when you are in need and see what is available to meet your specific need at that point in time.
Crisisassistance.org has all of the information you're looking for. There is a link there explaining how to get help. Good luck!
No they don't. You will have to go and pick it up, then load it yourself in your car or truck.
Yes but it depends on how much funding is alloted...meaning they could help for the week or a night.
I don't understand that language
No ma'am
It depends on the situation, where help is needrd and your arrival time.
Actually, it depends on the donation. We are not able to pickup clothing, small household goods, non-essential furniture. We DO offer limited pickup for large, essential furniture items (beds, couchs, dressers, large appliances). Plan ahead to schedule, as we have limited truck availability and it can take a week or so before we are visiting your area again for pickup. Visit https://crisisassistance.org/donate-furniture-and-appliances/ways-to-give/ for all the details and to request a pickup.
Actually Urban Ministry Center is going to be more able to help with getting ID and getting connected to housing.
Well I don't work for crisis I was just giving them a review I know they'll help with your rent if you fall behind and there's a maxi they'll help you with as far as first month's rent and deposit I do not believe they do that but you would have to call them and inquire I hope this helps.
Unfortunately, our funding restricts our services to Mecklenburg County residents. You might try calling 211 and asking for help identifying an org in Iredell with a similar mission
Sometimes when you go to their free store, they will have diapers but is goes by quickly. People are so greedy that I think they grab more than they need for just grab it all without thinking about others.
CAM helps people financially with utility bills and rent. The Urban Ministry may have information about apartments in the Charlotte area.
They dont help with deposits. Just help with your late electric bill that has been disconnected or recieved letter that they are going to disconnect it.
Make sure you have that printout from the hotel so you won't be turned away.
Yep they can n will pay
We do not currently have any air conditioners available.
If the can not help, and they have many dofferent finds to draw from, they will refer you to the correct agency for your need.
No the person will have to be there themselves, and have the bill and provide that they stay in your home plus give there social security number.
No. You need official ss card
It's closed this Saturday because of the holiday.
If you are currently without housing, you will need to check with places like the Salvation Army Center for Hope Women & Children's Shelter. Our agency typically works before that point to prevent homelessness before it happens.
Lease, pay stubs, utility bills, any other bills that affect your financial situation.
In some cases yes. Whatever your need is, Crisis will either help you, or refer you to the correct agency for your need. As the name indicates, "crisis assistance ministries" they "assist" people in "crisis". If it is birth control pills, they will refer you to the health department; if its a life or death medication, yes they will help.
Furniture is by referral only. If you have a relationship with a caseworker or social worker at DSS or another agency, that's the place up start. As with all our services you must live in Mecklenburg
There are several agencies that can help you depending on your situation, age, state of health/ mental health. Crisis assistance ministries can help with bills, rent, furniture and clothing. I do not know if they pay rental deposits to get you in to an apartment. There is also Department of Social services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Council on Aging, and Council on Independent Living. Each has a criteria for their service's and all you have to do is call to find the correct agency. As for finding an apartment without appliances, well good luck on that as most already have appliances in them. Good luck and God Bless.
There are really nice apartments near Calibridge landing at Mt. Island. I do not know the cost of the units.
Your ID, the bill, cutoff notice and social security cards for everyone in the house. If you have an income, bring proof of how much you make or receive. Also, bring something to do or read because you will be there a good chunk of the day.
You just have to go there. Call them today and find out the information they need you to bring. They see people based on necessity so they will probably see you tomorrow. Be sure to get there at least one hour before they unlock the door or else you will be there all day. They can tell you what time the doors open when you call. Remember that the line starts early and there's usually a lot of people needing help. Also, there are usually people outside offering coffee, muffins, etc. to help you while you wait. Good luck.
You have 10 days after your rent is due before your Landlord goes to go for eviction. But you need to go to Crisis to get some help before that happens. You can't do nothing about your situation. Take the initiative to get some help. It's out there all you have do to is ask and you shall receive. Pray and believe! God is Good but faith without works is...Dead! I'm praying for you! Turtles....
They help you with some of your needs ,I know no limit on how much they will help you get, you work it out with them
Are you working? Have you been in the place at least 90 days? You will get the help you need. Go in there by 8am. Take your lease, ID, Social security card and the money you have to put to it. Be prepared to wait. They will give you lunch. Be patient and pray! Everything will be okay. Go tomorrow. Don't wait any longer because its a process but you have to take the first step by going there! My prayers are with you. Most importantly,.... God is with you! Be strong and have faith! Tah Ta!
Its is best to call them ,I don't have the number but you can look them up information 411 or get the phone book and they will tell you everything you need to know and what to bran
Must have eviction notice
Yes, they will help with rooms but some of the organization's they refer you out to will not! You must be working and be where ever You are for at least 30 days. Never wait until the last minute when you need any kind of assistance because there is a process. Yes, there is a method to the madness! Lol! Keep your head up and most importantly pray! Pray for strength, guidance and direction. When you think no one is there for you He will step in! Have faith, he sent his son for you too! Turtles!!!!!
Yes it should be. Its always good to give them a call to verify appropriate times for various services.
They help by need... 1st people who already shut off. They people who have pending shut off for that day and then who ever else if your not close to your shut off date most likely they will have you come back
Yes they do! So do Goodwill, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity! Any of these placrs will appreciate your kind donation. God loves a cheerful giver!
As long as you are paying rent in your name and have receipts to confirm it. They will help you. Ask if they are able to put you in a permanent or temporary housing. Go down there and go to the front desk. The Bible says: Ask and you shall receive. Have faith!
they will not give u an apartment if that's what u mean. they might help with finding u a shelter but not your own place to live
r
You can call but it is advised that you go there because possibly the dinners are already packaged and ready to go be sure to take id a ss cards of all people in household.
It used to be that way. But now it HAS to be an EMERGENCY situation.
There is no one rule for that. It depends on your specific situation.
Stacy theres a program called leos here they help with dentistry
"We don't give that out to clients unless they're specifically asked to fax something over by a staff-member" -Crisis Customer Service
Yes..as long as you have late or final notice from the utility company.
They will help but they want you to have been on the hotel two months
Yes, you can! Just give them a call you can get all the information you need.
We don't typically do security deposits for self-referred customers
I pretty sure they help the homeless but I do know they also help families with low income.
You need a copy of your lease, proof of income, Social Security cards for all members of your household, and notice of eviction.
