Understandable, it could go 1 of 3 way...they may contact your employer or they may ask for recent pay stubs or both. But remember you're in need so it's not about status it's about getting what you need
No they don't contact your employer they just need the last two recent check stubs
I'm not sure if they contact your employer all I know is that they ask for your most current check stubs.
