Backpacking is allowed along the Appalachian Trail which runs through the park. Check ahead where you plan to camp as some sections are closed to camping.
The park offers several different types of campsites: Developed Campgrounds, offering tent and RV sites, some with electric and water hookups. Group Campsites, primative sites suitable for large groups. Backcountry Camping for hikers on the Appalachian Trail
Are you looking to walk on the appalachian trail. Or just kind of hang out at an overlook/rest area?
If you want to walk the trail with a stroller you if go main st to 611 to Shepard ave there is parking there and you could walk to the top of the mtn there fairly easily. Or you follow 611 further down to point of the Gap there is a rest stop with a small pavilion you can hang at. Not alot a baby can do, but depending on how old and your energy level. Hope this helps. There is a nice restaurant there in town, Sycamore Grill, it's a nice place to grab a bite to eat and maybe a drink. Its casual dining. Good food. I dont think there any parks with activities for babies though.
Yeah you could do a nice short walk there. If you continue down 611 there are a Couple areas you can pull over and sight see. It's a perfect time of year for it. Hope this help a little more. Enjoy your day

Yes, there are MANY picnic areas throughout the park. As you drive you will see many posted signs. No grilling, though. Lots of picnic tables and beautiful views. Enjoy!
The area is huge. The beach is right off Rt 80, but there are many trails in that area. There are water falls that extend from that area all through East Stroudsburg, Marshall's Creek, Bushkill Falls and Dingmans. The falls and trails are abundant and so much to see.
If you enjoy a good hike research Marshall's Falls as well, right along the area, but definitely a hidden gem. Enjoy and be safe.
Hi, there are motels and hotels in Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, Bartonsville, Bushkill, Dingmans Ferry and Milford.
There are many hiking trails, water falls and scenic areas.
I also believe the Bushkill Conference Center is a place where you can stay and they are located across the street from Bushkill Falls.
Enjoy
There are pinic areas with picnic tables in several spots throughout the park. There is a large picnic pavilion at the Milford Beach picnic area / swim beach just outside Milford PA
Does anyone know specifically how to get to the waterfalls? Leaving NY I have different destinations: Milbrook Village. Delaware Water Gap park. Dingmans Falls. And Kittatinny Point. What will be the correct location? Thanks
At the Water Gap, itself? No. At the parking spots around the Gap, it's possible. Depends on the parking lot. You need to ask a more specific question for a better answer.
You can grill

If you get there early enough you can find a spot to fit your RV, not too sure if overnight stay is allowed.
You should be able to use them on the McDade Trail. That is an easy walking, biking, jogging trail. It's relatively flat and the motors won't stress themselves. Other trails will be too hard for it. Keep in mind that if the battery dies or it short circuits, you'll need to carry it back to your car. This could be difficult to do. I would simply advise you to leave it home.
If you drive on 209 North throughout the park you can go to Hornbecks, Dingmans, or Raymondskill falls. There are parking areas for the associated water fall trails. Hornbecks Creek Trail off 209 kind of pops up out of nowhere but there is plenty of parking available
There is hunting in the national area of the park, i believe. Would probably be seasonal and regulated. Jersey side has a few acres of worthing state forest where firearms are NOT allowed. Would further inquire with local authorities.
Yes take Rt 209 north to Digmans bridge entrance. Canoe rentals/transportion available.in state of P.a.. In state of ny go to matamorrise. Canoe kittatinny rentals. Off Of highway Rt 209.
There's a boardwalk that starts at a Ranger station on River Road. I forget the town. It might be Bushkill. The address above might be the address for the ranger station but I can't double-check now. There's lots of parking at the ranger station and there's a small museum inside.
Kittatinny point visitor center
Exit 1, Route 80 West
Columbia, NJ 07832
Dingmans falls visitor center
PA State Route 209 & Johnny Bee Road
Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328
There is a lot of boat renting. All in that area. Not necessarily at the park though. Google Delaware Water Gap boat rental and you'll get several rental places right in the area.
If you are referring to Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, it's mostly in Pike county, but there is a section in Monroe county and (I think) Northampton. If you are talking about Delaware Water Gap, the town, it's in Monroe County, on the southern edge of the park.
