You should be able to use them on the McDade Trail. That is an easy walking, biking, jogging trail. It's relatively flat and the motors won't stress themselves. Other trails will be too hard for it. Keep in mind that if the battery dies or it short circuits, you'll need to carry it back to your car. This could be difficult to do. I would simply advise you to leave it home.
