Please be careful when dealing with the police at this park. They will question you the second you walk into the park. Be careful out there, the city doesn't care about you or your well-being. Even if you're a city resident with ID proof, they will still stalk you and harass you.

Always love Old Mill! Either parking here to walk the canal path or visiting the park with kiddos (great shade!) it’s always a good time. Bathrooms are halfway decent too! :)

It's a pretty park, well kept, and family friendly. It has a nice walking/bicycle path. We ended our trip with a shake from Hardees which is right off of the path. This was a great Sunday afternoon adventure.

Depends...on sunday there are churches that rent them out so its almost impossible to get one. If you want to be 100% sure you get one , Id rent it out. Just call Fredericksburg (or Spotsy) parks and rec.

Grilling is allowed, they do have a couple of grills,or you can bring your own.

That's where the locals rally at for Fredericksburg City fireworks, not sure if it's always on July 4th or the weekend of .. always can look up on Fredericksburg, VA website .

The parking area is un paved so that could be challenging. Otherwise there are ramps, to access the trail from sidewalk level.
