Ok folks this is going to be a very detailed review...I have pondered over this review for a few days because I want to make sure that respect is due where respect was gained...now first off I would like to say that I normally only review great service especially for people who may be fearful of coming out to public events or public eateries because now with the current inflation you really have to plan out your fun and be sure that your have enough to have a great time wherever you are going. We chose to see a live heavy metal concert at the five point amphitheater. Honestly I was myself was a little hesitant in going as I really didn't like the Irvine meadows concert experience at all. This is a whole new Amphitheatre and it was amazing!!! There was excellent parking service and restrooms were readily available for men and women. Also drinks were readily available not only in the music seating area, but also throughout the venue and excellent choices of food with readily available food trucks. There were also cornhole areas to play while waiting for the show, barstools and table for relaxing... Now that I have given you a written experience on your entrance let me now write my review.....so as I mentioned above we were there for a Heavy metal concert!!! After Covid and a few plus years!!! Atmosphere was great people were socializing with one another but of course there was a fight in the crowd which caused our area to be evacuated for health pre-caution protocols which nowadays is absolutely necessary!! Staff was very professional and had excellent communication with one another which allowed us although for a short time while our seats were being sanitized was allowed to continue enjoying the show until our seats were sanitized. We made sure to thank security as we were very happy to feel safe and secure in knowing that they were prepared for the situation!!! Five point Amphitheater staff went above and beyond while maintaining professionalism and control over the unfortunate situation which interrupted our concert experience. Thank you all for an enjoyable experience!! I will definitely recommend seeing a concert there to all my friends and family!! Thank you staff for the crowd control you provided!!!

Great place to catch a concert. The place is just the right size where every seat has a good view and you are close enough to the stage. More intimate vibe from the bands you go to see. They have console games in the lawn area where the food and beer is. Always a great time when I come here. #savelivemusic

Venue is super easy to access, no traffic getting in around 5 on a Saturday night. Free general parking for the show we saw. Entering the venue is easy with almost no wait time. View from the orchestra section. Show was great too! Only downside was that drinks and food were super expensive at the venue. Not too hard to sneak in drinks to offset the cost!
Blue Dream
Good venue, the parking was free for our event but the actual theater is a bit of a walking distance from the parking lot. I like that they have portable restrooms in the parking lot because it saved me big time! The area is nice and they also have a good amount of tables to sit and eat. Food was expensive and so where the drinks but the venue itself was clean and nice. I have another event here in two months and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Please answer the question, where is handicapped seating and how many guests can sit with me and how much are the tickets??
Yes, there's a sign near the main entrance with an arrow for drop off
I took a medium sized backpack with me and had no problem getting in they just search the bag as you go in
Yes. You can bring a gallon sized Ziploc back with snacks and drinks.
lol yeah me 3
Blues Traveler (popular songs were "Hook" and "Run-Around") and Jewel ("Foolish Games"... "Who Will Save Your Soul") are playing before Train. They're both killer 90s throwbacks. Don't miss either of them!! And, hey, if you just absolutely hate them (you won't), you can play cornhole on the lawn and sip a summer cocktail until Train comes on. We'll see you tomorrow!! *Don't forget... clear bag policy! Maximum size of clear bag: 12"x6"x12"... Small clutches (4.5" x 6.5") are fine if they're not clear.
They say only sealed, clear bottles of water. They just quickly looked at my water and sent me in.
No. Easy to see from all seats
They are very strict on tail gating. And no alcohol is allowed there are rules posted on website . You can bring in unopened water up to a gallon per person and a few food items unopened . I'm diabetic so I had to check with them first and I brought in a large zip lock bag filled with granola bars and dry fruit. I'm not sure how much you can bring in like a whole meal like you want but they do have lots of food options and alcohol inside.
If you have the tix on you phone you can go through the line but if it says will call hit the trailer before the line they will have them there. It is right before you enter to the left
The fanny pack has to be under 6.5” x 4.5” inches if it’s not clear. This venue is very strict about it. I usually can bring mine but not here (it’s 6” x 6”)
Just so u know there is coffee but not a shop or restaurant type...all food trucks & bring some $$$...kinda expensive & yes snacks in see thru gallon bag are ok & 2 unopened water bottles, hope that helps
They had a sign saying clear bags. But if you check the website for them it gives info on all the restrictions
Yes. Call the venue to speak to staff or best option is to email security or customer service
Yes, but children under 6 will experience damage to their hearing in environments like 5Points. My mother started taking me to shows when I was 3 and I now have permanent hearing loss in both ears. If you can get a babysitter, do so for your child's health. I wish my mom had .
It is different for each show from what I understood. No VAX card or test for the Kiss concert. Check the website.
I am sorry I dont know. I would call the venue.
Yes you can! :)
Doors usually open at 530 but depends on the lineup
I'm guessing its ok. As a lot of people (including me) were using their fons to record all 3 groups.
Free parking & you can tailgate before too!!
It is an outdoor amphitheater with free general parking and etc.
Parking was free last weekend for Santana, you could pay $50.00 for VIP parking but...of course that was a HARD NO, we walked a short distance to the entrance.
Why does the app say take Marine Way then say it's non assemble road? We
Follow the signage. Parking is free unless you upgrade to VIP.
9p-10p
I don't know about answering the phone but I know all the wheelchair seats are in section 304 which is in the middle, behind the box seats. They are GREAT seats! If you have any more questions, please feel free to reply to this
The seats have a backrest! Enjoy!
When I have been there they have had the bathroom trailers. Kind of in-between a porta potty and real bathroom. Have been fairly clean the two times I have used them.
This would be better asked to the venue directly through their website. Most major businesses dont respond to Google maps questions.
Many restaurants on the way once you get off the freeway or toll road
I've seen 3 shows there since it opened, and have seen plenty of kids there each time. Unless it's a 21+ event, doesn't seem to be a limit far as I can tell. I saw some pretty young ones there this last show a couple of weeks ago.
Cards are accepted and a large beer is $14. Wine is $38 for a carafe of the cheap stuff :(
Last year there was a limited full bar.
He'll yeah, big parking lot. But signs all over say No Alcohol...
No they do not have free wifi. Seems only for VIPs. But the cellphone signal is good. I have Verizon and had a 5G signal
Yea I saw a concert and wheelchairs could go just about everywhere everyone else went
No masks, no vax cards, no temp screening. Just metal detection and bag checks.
It's about a 10 minute walk. There's a walking path from the train station into the amphitheatre.
We were told to just drive up and were not charged or told a price. Poor directions and we never found the handicap parking.
We can put her in the ada section and when you get here tell security and they will assist you.
Last concert, 5 points had multiple food trucks and drinks/ food for sale, so I known they would prefer you purchase food once inside. Not sure if they can stop you from eating in your car or from the bed of a truck. I always eat Denny's (just outside of the venue) just before the event and often after the event. Why pay the high price of venue food?
Parking is usually free unless you are looking to park really close to the theater or valet parking (if available). Prices and availability may vary depending on the event.
It is named for the land developers that originally owned the land it sits on today, "FivePoint Development."
No The lease with The Irvine Company ended in 2016 and housing projects are now surrounding the area. FivePoint Amphitheater is on part of the Former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station.
VIP is Added Cost / VIPPass to park/High Profile
I went a few weeks ago and they didn't ask for proof of vaccination or a negative test. Just walked right in.
When I went I saw Dave Matthews Band and this was a band requirement. which was required within 48 hours. I do not know if they will accept longer. Try and call
If you brought VIP parking reserve parking you should be good to arrive by 6 if you don't I would advise you be there by 5 so your not walking a country mile to and from your car.
Since 9-29-21 you must show you are fully covid vaccinated. Welcome to the new normal. If people would stop listening to fully disproven conspiracies this would not be needed, but people are still acting stupid so it is.
I believe all in your party can sit together, but double check with the venue because we only had 4 in our party.
It appears that requirement is set by the artist and not the venue. For example, a COVID vax card or <48hr negative test was required for the Dave Matthews Band show here, but I heard the Kiss show here earlier in the week did not have that requirement. Suggest you check the rules set for the specific show you're interested in attending.
I brought it to the Korn show, but wasn't asked for it. My sister is going to a show next weekend and was told she has to bring it. I think it's up to the band's management, so bring it anyways. But you will need a clear/see through bag. Any other kind of bag is not allowed. They sell them there but they're expensive. Edit: I just found out you do need to show proof of vaccination before being let in since 9/20/21
No its not okay to bring a infant
I was there a few weeks ago and the rule was if fully vaccinated no mask required. If not vaccinated then you must wear a mask. No one was checking vaccination cards so it's on a trust system.
Most shows start around 7:30 - 8:00pm.
Had to show vax card or negative test within two days, also had a rapid test center available.
This was a very nice place to have a concert It was kind of hot but it got cooler as the nite went on
Best way is to email them. Usually within 48hrs someone will reply
On 9/1/21 their parking lot had 2 sections: very large free parking, 5-10 minute walk to venue entrance, and paid closer parking. I chose the free parking and short walk.
The gates usually open at 6 the main performer wont be on til around 9. Our concert Sept 1st for Megadeth started at 7 but they werent on the stage until 9:30
Show's already played.
I just MegadethXLamb of God yesterday and we did not have to.
I agree with both Kyle and Randy! As for the Tailgating, place your drink in a Solo or any plastic cup, and there's no open fire grilling. Enjoy your concert!!!
Not that I am aware of they do want plastic see through bags / purse .
Yes
U can bring water...Bottle .and use 1 gallon plastic bag that they can see through
Doors open at 6. Show at 8
The parking at 5 points is easy its a huge lot . Its one of the Best places to see a concert
Yes I think you can
A small back pack and it really depends on the event. I recommend call ahead and make sure . Because on the web site it says something and at the gate they might not allow it .
Call the venue
I just went oon 9/30. Yes you can, but they need you to Open it. No outside food. Only sealed water bottles.
I doubt it... Especially because the venue itself is a distance from parking. They also have multiple security personnel in the parking lot directing traffic.
It started raining during the Styx concert. We got a little wet but the show continued.
Just 30 early makes a big difference
As long as it's not open
All around and easy to find
Not far at all intimate but very well put together venue.
We went to the kids bop show, it started at 7 but we got there at 6 and they had vendors and food trucks in the front entrance for everyone. So I'm not sure what you're going to see but they may have the same thing since they're still doing construction
Not sure wish I could help you
Regular parking is free and not a super long walk. VIP parking is just closer to the gate and you still have to walk.
10:40 PM Irvine to lax airport on a weekday
Not sure I have never splurged for it
I believe a two year old is required a ticket but I would check with original point of purchase.
General parking is free , there is a huge lot right next to it and staff is decent about putting up sign/cones up
No
The parking lot opened at 4:30 when I was there
There aren't really box seats. The VIP seating is on the same chaired bleachers, just closer up.
You will see the signs to enter for parking & the attendants will divide you
It's been about 2 years, but the last time I was there, there was a "smoking section" on the outside lawn area- all the way to the side furthest from the preferred parking lot entrance. There were a lot of people smoking cigarettes in that area.
Most probably @ 6:30 PM
maybe 11am
There are regular porto potties, and ones that flush. Plus plenty of cleaning crew to keep things tidy.
Try going to their website and contact them via e-mail or their phone number.
Same here was at Goo and Train didn't really notice tailgating.
Yes,but the snacks have to be inside clear plastic bags (ziplock),water no more than one gallon (unopened) and inside a container 14"by14"
Best to go over stairs and request from train station
Yes, a wide variety of beverages
Maybe contact the venue directly
I agree with Alfred Saldana it's best and easier if you get tickets online and download them to your phone.
I don't know I would call the main office and ask so sorry I hope someone was nice enough to hand it in 😔
Yes there is handicapped parking and access ramps everywhere. You will have to call FivePoint for the pricing. I actually had the handicapped seating in section 302 and the view was pretty good. Tickets were given to me so I cannot help you with the price.
Yes
The orchestra area can be accessed by a ramp. I am not sure you can get to row 3 by ramp. And I remember the rows being by letter. I would call the place to find out more.
No
No...no...no...but a back pack and or clear ziplock bag!
No 2 different places
Fishfest is a Christian music festival.
The set up is stage, followed by the lawn area and behind the lawn area is the bleacher seats.
Didnt it used to be lion country safari?
I've been there in the rain
Free unless you want preferred parking which ranges from $50-$100. I know I answered this exact question yesterday.
Maybe you are thinking that it is ok because it's in the Great Park, but there really isn't any area for dogs. The seating area isn't all that spacious either.
Watch your partying. There's like 50 cops at every gate when you go to leave. And they act like they own the place. So be very careful when you leave
They probably only open the gates to the parking which is on the old runway on the date and time of the event.
Box office hours are absurd and inconvenient close at 2 PM so out of luck if you work during the day also there’s no signs giving directions to get there you actually have to look for some sign that says dirt haul
I believe parking is free. With your ticket. Might want to double-check. And watch yourself when you're leaving because there's about fifty cops at every gate waiting to bust you. Be careful. Be safe. And have some fun
Be damn careful with your drinking. Be careful there no matter what you do cuz when you go to leave there's going to be about 50 cops at every gate. And they are leaning on everybody's gig.
I have been there a few times. Sometimes you pay for parking sometimes it's free.
No sorry
I wish I could help you and that's a really good question.
You can buy 1 seat.... Up to you.
You suppost to be at list half and hour before any event the walking and to look for your seat location ,look for parking find something to drink and do line to enter .
https://www.tripadvisor.com/HotelsNear-g32530-d14199664-FivePoint_Amphitheater-Irvine_California.html
Surprisingly ok. Traffic flowed out pretty smoothly
No pit for my show. Lower area has security that checks tickets. I was seating in 305 and some people left and 2 more took their spot, no one checked their tickets in that area (305).
It looks like so, just depends on what row up.
Yes, pretty close to enterance.
It was nice but the screens could be bigger
Their website says it's still on.
Are you referring to box seating?
Only sealed water allowed in.
It looks like they cancelled the special return service after August 5th. Here's the updated from Amtrak. http://www.pacificsurfliner.com/discounts/detail.aspx?id=FivePoint
Kinda, opposite side of freeway though
I dont know mine were bought online
Yes and you can typically upgrade to 'floor seats' from crappy bench seats during the show too for $10
5 pm
I think it was G-Eazy
Yes, you can use your phone.
Depends upon the show I would think. It was 5pm for our recent visit.
Per vehicle.
Look up livenation website featuring 5 points. Check out 'Day of event' section. Gates open different times for different events
Yes it is.
Its always best to call ahead because certain items allowed is always subject to change
Bring food in one gallon size zip lock bags. One gallon or less wetter bottle. Np back pack or hydroflasks
There is seats no need for towels
Pit really isn't that big and section 2 is closer to the stage than I would have thought. But if you can just go for pit. It's literally almost touching the stage
Havent sat in then but their location is perfect. Directly center stage just behind pit seating.
Parking is free, not sure about RV parking. Limited ADA parking available, I've been twice and been told all were taken first trip. The second trip we got last spot
They will check it
I saw other answers that said you can bring in closed water. Some said you can bring in snacks in a 1 gallon ziplock but the details on the snacks went both ways
Does the gapits have seats or standing only? Thanks
Yes, from what I experienced in the 2 concerts I went to it was assigned seating. Just a note: if you get floor seats, be prepared to stand...
Yes, I saw people do it and walk over but I'm not sure about the cost if any.
It says no backpacks but I bring mine every time. As long as it's not the type of backpack that you use for school it's ok. It needs to be small. Only food if its sealed & not open
I really don't know the answer but call the box office
Parking lot is well lit and organized. And no, you don't have to walk a mile to reach the amphitheater
You can bring in Food – in a clear, 1-gallon ziplock bag Water – up to 1 gallon in a factory sealed or empty bottle
Parking is free unless you want vip parking. Water only if you DONT open it before you go inside. NO food unless you buy it from inside
No selfie sticks. No metal objects. But cell fones are ok.
Yes, brought my 10 yr old to Styx and Joan Jett. Possible some events could have restrictions, might call the box office to double check.
By the way this place feels like it was build with 2 × 4s feels weak, really weak.
Saw Slayer there also. Pretty nice venue but $17 for a beer is outrageous. Irvine Meadows closed in 2017
I helped build it don't have schedule
Man, I got there with some tall cans and didn't feel too comfortable swigging in the parking lot. Then after I started towards the box office there were major amounts of empty bottles and cans everywhere. It looked like the pregame was nice. So I'd say it was good.
No
I'm sure it says on your ticket
The back, but every seat is a good seat!! It's a small venue
Of course there is...
Can't tell yet. The amphitheater is not open for business yet. A couple of more weeks.
Be on the side of the station closest to thd amphitheater and the fence will be open. It's literally a three minute walk!!
No. No alcohol, please.
N/A
Dunno. Probably already started.
Idk the phone #, but thr box office is open 10-4 m-f.
It was finished around August 2017. I went to the first show
What show? What VIP package?
Actually I don't thing they are officially open yet?
This is a Live Nation (possibly depending on performer) question, not a venue question.
To my best of knowledge the promotors of the show usually set the guidelines of the show age, time, etc. My best advice is call the box office but usually most places do 11-12 and under free but its based on the show and the promoters throwing the event. I hope this helps.
It is open M-F 10a-4p. You can't get to it, yet, from Chinon. Enter Marine Way from Sand Canyon and take it thru till you get to the red/orange cones and turn left up the hill to get to the Amphitheater.
It is open M-F 10a-4p
Check with LiveNation, they're managing events at the amphitheater
If you go to guest services (inside venue) day of show, they can possibly give you ADA area. Wheelchairs of course will take priority
Once your close the the front gate entrance the box office should be on the left hand side.
Like it on FB
No... Irvine is closed. Five Point is located in the Great Park. No where near the seating of Irvine
Possibly the night of a show. The venue is owned by Live Nation so they'll be making you to pay their outrageous service and facilities fees somehow.
Good for you.
Not that I saw anywhere. All I saw or used was the portable trailer ones on both sides of the theater. Only problem is by mid concert most of the bathrooms are out of order when the water runs out or are full.
When I went on opening weekend, there was definitely a box office and a phone number. There were some modular offfices/trailers right after the parking lot and before the main venue entrance.
Look on google maps. They have all info.
