A small back pack and it really depends on the event. I recommend call ahead and make sure . Because on the web site it says something and at the gate they might not allow it .
Small ones are usually ok, any food needs to be in Ziploc bags

Packs per se are allowed, but depends on contents. At the GOT concert, disallowed items included fluids, blankets, weapons, drugs, and metal items too big to pass TCA-like scanners. Some belt buckles passed without removal, some didn't.
