As of Oct 17, 2020, they are not taking appointments of any kind. You will need to fill out some things online then get a confirmation number from then. Once you have that bring the confirmation number and the paperwork they requested. I went in before 9AM and the whole process took about 2 hours to get Real ID and renew drivers license.

Fullerton's DMV opens at 8 am. I did not set an appointment but was there at 5:30 am (with aprox 30 people in front of me) with a cup of coffee and reading material. I got my license and tags and was finished by 9:15 am.

On the DMV website you have the option of creating an account with I.D.me. I believe you can update your address there by uploading a utility bill and cellphone, something to show your current address. If your license is expiring in a couple of months and you have never gotten the real I'd, you will need to fill out the information and upload the required documents. That way you will receive a page with the red stop sign. This allows you to go the DMV you have indicated and the line will be shorter for you and you do have to take another photo. The docs you upload you will need to bring them in person. If you already have a real I.d. you may be able to renew online. I hope this help.

You should be able to print out a confirmation letter that lets you jump the long line into the much shorter "express" line. Lastly, you just need to show up a couple hours early before they open so you will be the first one in when the open the doors.

If you are doing a renew registration, there is a kiosk (yellow kiosk) in the back where you don't have to wait in line, it takes about 5 min to get in/out. Now for DL it will take time (1-2 hrs) to get in line and be helped by a DMV people, or you can make an appointment and be out in about 30 min. Hope this help

Well I was there last friday "5/29/20", and they waived the road test after a suspended license. Not sure what your case is but if your license is suspended it won't be necessary but you may want to hurry! I believe the Fullerton DMV is doing Appointments or, Online Service's. I would go to their website and check it out. My license just expired and, my tags are do so, I went online see if I could make an appointment but, I didn't have too Thank God, I was able to Renew Tags and, my License online (I'm not doing the Real ID) just a regular license. If I were doing the Real ID I would of had to made an appt.

I agree with the person above a police report would help tremendously and you can also call if you know where you were born at the hospital that you were born in you can also call the vital records and usually cost like $21 of dollar to be sent to you and to get a copy of your birth certificate also the Social Security can help you too you should always make copies of everything and keep them on your person that's what I do I keep them in a safe place where I will only know that they're there

There's a separate line for appointments inside, just inside the doors on the right. Dont wait in the line outside, go directly inside. Sometimes they have a security, just let them know you have an appointment, they will direct you.
