You should get good signal on most of the scenic drive, and ok signal on thefront ends of some hikes. You'll lose signal the deeper you hike into side canyons
I had Verizon and had sketchy service at times.

It gets better every year, in January 2018 I had verizon service through the whole first half of the drive and on the trails, but intermittent through the last half and none Near Rocky Gap Road
