Receptionist had us sit in the Radiology area to wait for procedure. Luckily, someone heard my baby and let us know that babies shouldn’t be in that area, and directed us to some other area to wait. My baby wasn’t happy about being there, and was crying and fussing for the most part. The wait time was 2+ hrs because there was only 1 room for the procedure that my baby needed, or something. I asked the staff for water, and they gave us a bottle (I realize this wasn’t the Ritz Carlton in Paris - but it would’ve been nice to have been offered water after the first 2 hrs.), then we were finally called in. The doctor made a few attempts to perform the procedure, and then determined that a pediatric specialist could best perform it. The doc and staff were nice - yes - and I appreciate that. But.... how much does 'nice' matter if you're exposed to a (harmful?) dose of nuclear radiation..... I would be lying if I said that I was OK with having waited 2+ hours for nothing. But mostly, for my baby and I to have been placed in an UNSAFE area (“Nuclear” was on 1 of the signs there), then told after the hours long wait that the procedure could not be performed...
