I had a big orange tabby that almost died from that. Took him to the vet, gave him medicine had him neutered, he lived to be 18 and a half years old. Good luck, it will be ok.

I have two cats that had the same thing (urinary obstruction is very common among male cats). They did several cleanings and said they would have to make him a girl and instead someone told me about Hills urinary care C/D MULTICAT DRY CAT FOOD. SAVED MY CATS LIFE!!!!! Both have been free of any obstruction for more than 15 years. Now that my kitties are 17 years old, I try and feed them wet food that is very healthy as well. They are very young looking and acting.
