NO that is not legal! Call the ASPCA immediately! Also, 2,000 dollars is outrageous! Sounds like they only care about the money they can get rather than the welfare of the poor animals. You can also call animal rescue or the Police department to report it to. That's absolutely disgusting that they are doing this! I am a big time animal advocate! Please do something Immediately!

Yes!!!! It is but in the past if they had to many animals then they would have to send them to other shelters and some of the shelters they sent animals to were the ones that would put them down but now they wont accept any animals at the Terre Haute shelter unless they have room for them!

This is a facility for unwanted cats & dogs. Catch the dog & take him to them. If he is truly a stray, they should take the dog & find him a home. These are good people.

They also adopt their cats out via Petsmart at $25 - $40 each depending on age. These animals are from our local shelter, fixed and chipped.
