Love the history.... Remember where some of the depot's where actually located when I was a kid growing up and the caboose use to be at Dobbs Park and was normally a elementary school field trip each year.

the Wabash Valley Railroad Museum is a really great hands on museum with friendly staff. The museum has grown a lot since it's opening, what really sets this museum apart for others is the two interlocking towers that have fully restored interlocking machines that you can interact with just as the operators did when they where in service. The 50cent Coke vending machine serves the coldest soda in the Valley. This is a great spot for railfanners as it is where both the CSX CE&D and St.Louis Line subdivisions merge together giving an easy 30-40 trains a day with the occasional DREI local coming from Paris, IL. Admission is $7 for those 5 and older 4 and under is free. highly recommend!
