I adopted a dog about three weeks ago to be my service dog and I was told since I adopted him for this purpose that I shouldn't have has to pay the $125.00 adoption fee,is that right?

They need the money to help the animals. Just be glad you could help.

You pay an adoption fee. How and why you train the dog later is irrelevant. Shouldn’t you get a dog already trained to be a service dog? Not all dogs work out well.

That's not how this works

You pay for the shaits and more than likely spay or neuter. It doesn't matter whether it's a personal assistant or not.

As far as I know, its not free.
