The SPCA has programs for volunteers. Only trained volunteers interact with the animals unless it is an adoption interview. You can volunteer as little as 3 hours a week. Weekends are available. Come walk a dog, play with a cat or support wildlife. Training is required. I have been a volunteer on the kitten nursery for six years.
Great question! I know they're always looking for volunteers to do that and more. If you want to drop by and spend some quality time with the animals their staff is super friendly. They will let you take the animals out one at a time if you're just looking to share some love.
