Its tricky, i also had a problem. You have to go in towards that big parking lot...without going in the big parking lot. Then you'll see a little entrance to park at the Hilton Garden inn. Call the front desk they will direct you. They did for me!

The parking lot in front of the building take a ticket and if you have reservations they'll give you a free pass
Large parking lot directly behind hotel. Entrance is on Holland Ave. Across from east side of Albany Law School.
