HORRIBLE rental company - cars likely to break down. Would NOT trust their cars in the US much less in Mexico. They rented us a junky, dirty car and when it would not start they tried charging us for a battery. The car was filthy inside and the last service was over a year before. We fought it and won. When we told our friends at a party two other people said they had similar bad experiences with "Payless."

Rich just spend the extra money and go for a car from another company. These guys are crooks and will nickel and dime you where ever how ever they can. I wish I had looked at reviews before taking their filthy reconstructed car. I feel a car that's been in an accident should not be rentable. Extra charges showed up months later. We fought it but they somehow convinced our Bank of America we were liable for the extra charges. San Diego is great payless is straight from hell.

They have different zone plans and insurance requirements. I'd call them for the specifics.

It's possible but not economically feasible.
