I can't recommend Dirt Cheap enough! They were amazing to work with and made the rental process extremely quick and easy. I'm in town for my birthday, and when they found that out, they upgraded me to a convertible mustang. When I'm back in SD, I will definitely be using them again.

My girlfriend and i recently decided to spontaneously fly to LA and visit San Diego. We are both students, and don't have a large income. I am SO thankful that i found Dirt Cheap Car Rental on google. We needed a car with a good MPG rating, that didn't need to be the newest possible model and wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg. I browsed through offers of many other car rental agencies near the airport and old town area. For the 8 days that i was going to be needing a car in SD the price i would have had to pay, at a larger car rental agency, was on average around 750$ (with insurance included). This only being my second time ever having rented a car, i wasn't sure if this price was reasonable, however it was definitely too high for my budget. I decided to give this company a try because of their great amazon reviews and their practical location in old town. I am so glad i did. I ended up being able to rent a 2016 Kia Rio with, on average, a 30mpg rating. I was so happy and barely payed anything for gas, even though we were constantly driving around SD. For 30$ i was even able to extend my insurance and take a day trip up to Joshua Tree National Park. The car was in great shape, only a few scratches here and there. I payed around 255$ for the 8 day rental (with insurance included!) - awesome!!! The customer service was great, returning the car went quickly. I will absolutely rent from this agency again! A well deserved 5 stars.

I was there for I one week, had a problem with the rental car and they exchanged it no questions asked. Also they were very affordable and were accommodating. I would recommend this rental agency anytime.

Yeah true you cannot get a car after they close. But they open at 8 AM. If you can call them they can provide a pickup from your stay to rental. If it's close by.

They include insurance in the cost of every rental. You can refer to their website for rental fees but I would call them to get an exact quote. I still havent found a better deal, highly recommend.
There is no deposit, and no fee for under 25 that I know of. I know people under 25 who love to go there. Now go get your Dirt cheap Car:)
