It's great for stargazing. The lack of light pollution allows for some great opportunities almost every night (weather withstanding).
Just pray for a cloudless night and look up.... Don't forget to look around as when I was stargazing a wolf was watching me from a distance. Beautiful area day and night, the bison going thru your campsite is awesome as well.... A great Texas state park
