A wonderful overnight for us on our trip. This town is where Pancho Villa made his raid on the US late one night in March 1916. It later became the first US military air base and there are several remnants of the buildings in the park. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms are clean and tidy and while the sites don't have sewer, there is a dump station on your way out. We plan to return.

Had no reservation. Lots of folks here, but it didn't feel crowded. Beautiful weather. You can see Mexico from camp. Walk to restaurants and 2 museums, post office and store.

Nice clean quiet park. Great place to unwind. It is the desert. The town of Columbus has a lot of history. Walking over the border is super easy. All the locals and quests go to a restaurant and gift shop named Pink over the border. I loved it and so did my husband. We originally booked 3 nights but extended it 2 more nights. The staff and volunteers were great and you can’t beat the price. A sleepy little town and we loved de-stressing and relaxing there.

The park rangers were super helpful and very knowledgeable. They helped us pick a great campsite. Grounds were very well maintained and very clean. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. Special thanks to the park manager for all the detailed information.

Just come. Worst case you might have to stay a night in an RV park in Columbus or Deming for a night until a space opens. Most likely you will find one in the park. Be sure to check out camping at Rockhound SP and City of Rocks SP also in Luna county.
They have fire pits available in each campsite they also have charcoal stove 8 at each site have a great camping experience
We’ve had many visitors do so! As with visits to any foreign country, it’s best to practice good situational awareness. Most of the best places to visit are within a block of the border, and do not require a long ride into Palomas proper.
Cell reception is good in Columbus with Verizon. AT&T and Sprint are bad. T Mobile works ok, but Verizon is the best.
Yes they allow tents and the winter is their busiest season
Ample. i don't recall the exact number but you should have no problem. Go to the first local rummage shop right off Hwy 11 and ask Manny.
Should be 9-12, 1-4
