Just come. Worst case you might have to stay a night in an RV park in Columbus or Deming for a night until a space opens. Most likely you will find one in the park. Be sure to check out camping at Rockhound SP and City of Rocks SP also in Luna county.
We have been there 3 times and never had a problem getting in. If you can, reserve one of the 10 sites that you can reserve online and then switch to a site you may like better when you arrive. If the reserve sites are all taken, then just show up as it is a very large park with about a hundred sites, many with 50 amp service. We have never seen nor heard of it being full.
Most of the sites at Pancho Villa are not reservable. With that having been stated, I would reserve a site to assure myself of a place. When I have stayed there I have been allowed to swap for any unreserved/unoccupied site I desired at no additional charge.
Not many RV's there now.
No you don't need reservations. They have maybe 6 reservation site's.
Are you NM residents? If so get the annual pass and if you did not reserve a spot your daily fee is only $4.
We were there about a month ago. They had plenty of sites available.
You dont have to have reservations but if you want one of the better sites I would advise it.
Pancho Villa SP is rarely full up. The 6 or so reservation sites may not be a site you would prefer.
Its a very large rv park. But if you have time before your trip, then why not make reservations and be assured of a place.
