Who owns plantations,?

They are registered with the National Park Service, National Register of Historic Places, and National Historic Landmark. Oak Alley was last owned by the Stewart's. Josephine Stewart founded the Oak Alley Foundation who now owns the plantation and opened it to the public. I definitely recommend visiting! https://www.oakalleyplantation.com/about
