Summerhill Adventures Back 40

Wonderful afternoon for the kids and Grandparents before the grandparents went back to Arizona. Staff at the back 40 where so sweet, the kids had an absolute blast with the goat races. You can certainly see they are working hard to bring back the SummerHill from the past. We will be back many times.

On our way to Two Inlets and saw Summerhill was buzzing. Turned around and went to check out all the activity. Wow!! So glad we did. Lots of quaint shops with great home decor items, art work, books,and clothing. Rustic and charming. Lots of outdoor seating for the guys while the wives shop. Cuzzins' Candy Store and a kids boutique with games, toys, and stuffed animals for the kiddos. We did not go to the adventure park, but do plan to return with the kids (young adults) to engage in some competitive family challenges! Cafe 13 was amazing. Reminiscent of the previous cafe as they still offer some of the favorites (open-faced cucumber sandwich). The tomato basil soup and three-cheese grilled sandwich were incredibly tastey! Save room for the strawberry rhubarb pie and I recommend ala mode with a scoop of strawberry rhubarb ice cream!! Outstanding! (Be sure to get there early as it sells out quickly) Not a ton of shopping for the boys/men but send them down to play on the excavators while you shop! A great place to spend an hour or so when in the area!

There is nothing to do there as they are short staffed. We went there and waiting 30 minutes just to pet the goat. The prices are not worth it.

Fun place to go! The restaurant, Cafe' 13, has some of the best food, service, and atmosphere of any restaurant in the Park Rapids area! The prices are also great! It is definitely my new favorite place to eat!
