Wonderful. Great times. Always a welcoming atmosphere. Cabin zero is perfect for grandparents who's grandkids love to swim. Close to the beach.

Highly recommend this lovely resort! It was our first trip to the area, and Scott and Jenn were very helpful in answering all our (many) questions. Nice quiet spot on the lake with lots to do and a great jumping off point for exploring Itasca State Park just a few miles up the road. Would love to visit them again, reminds me of the small family run resort I used to visit as a kid.

Wilderness Bay is absolutely fantastic and I 100% recommend staying here. The caretaker is very laid back. I especially like that I was able to bring my dog. Also, the resident cat is friendly and welcoming to the guests. There is plenty to do at the resort, including swimming and kayaking just to name a couple of activities, and it is within easy driving distance of Itasca State Park. When I go for another cabin trip I am definitely going to Wilderness Bay.

SCOTT AND JENN ARE FANTASTIC HOSTS! This was our second trip to Minnesota and the furthest North we have ever been. The campgrounds were clean and well maintained. They have everything you need to keep you going so you don't have to leave the campground (bait, firewood, etc.). LOTS of kids toys and swimming equipment free to use. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Scott and Jenn are prepared to handle anything their guests need. There was a bad storm and a tree fell on one of the cabins (no one was injured). The cabin took the tree like a champ! The cabin appeared to only suffer minor damage and the debris was cleaned up within 24-48 hours. We will definitely be coming back. Little Mantrap lake could use some Northern Pike in it though as we were a little disappointed we didn't catch one. Maybe next time! Also, the Northern lights are known to come down to that area periodically. Just watch the Aurora forecast and look North. Thanks for a great time Wilderness Bay!!!!
