If you are asking about the general hiking area, not the back country, there is no one trail, the wind sweeps the sand daily and no footprints are left permanently. The entire area is open and beautiful!
Like the other person answered there is no real trail on the sand. You park and walk a distance on flat sand and next thing you know your surrounded by unmarked sand and use the mountain and what you can see on top of dunes to keep track of location. But I'm sure your talking about the other trails that go towards the mountain. I did not get the chance to hike any. I really wish I had a high 4wd vehicle to take the road through the mountain. There is also spots to pull off and camp. Please answer this question after your visit so ill know when I come back next year.
