Awesome facility. The park is very clean and well kept up. The boat launch, docks and parking area was plenty big to accommodate many boats. Great experience!!

A small day use state park that is mostly used for launching boats. But there is a very large pier to fish off of and a pavilion that can be rented out. The pavilion is very large and could accommodate a large group. There is a rocky beach next to the pavilion. I don't believe you are allowed to swim... but it provides an excellent spot for walking along the water and taking pictures. There is a small playground close by and plenty of picnic tables located in the shade of the numerous trees. There is also a well maintained restroom close to the picnic tables. Although this is primarily a boat launch park, the playground and picnic tables will provide a nice break on a hot day. And finally, the parking area a very large to allow for many boat trailers to park in!

Small beach area with high tides, but lots of cool beach finds. Some glass, cool bones, and even a fossil. This is a great beach area for eating or just sitting to watch the water. It's always breezy, unlike some other area beaches. You can get your feet wet here, but I wouldn't personally swim here... Not sure if it's even allowed. Boats coming in this area a lot and strong tides. At least this summer 2021.

Catawba Park is a nice place to go if you are a walleye fisherman other than that there isn't a whole lot to do there other than launch your boat and go out on the lake. I'd say at least a third of the vehicles in the parking lot we're from Minnesota Wisconsin The Dakotas the lot was was packed to capacity at 10:00 a.m. on a Wednesday and people were being turned away due to the fact thatthere were no more parking spots available.

Yes they are fishing for perch now until October. Weather permitting. Head boats are coming out of the Portage River Port Clinton.

No overnight parking is allowed at the State Park but there is just around the point at Miller's Ferry service.
Wow. Really good question. I don't have an answer. There is a really good sized parking lot. And vehicles and empty boat trailers park there during the day and quite possibly overnight. I don't know about the security for overnight vehicles. I live in North Carolina and can't even suggest who you would need to call. Try 866 644 6727
East Harbor State park
It currently has asphalt approch with concrete going into the water...but the ramp is getting replaced. The state came and closed it a few weeks ago untill December 1st. Then as of lately the closed sign has been moved and they are allowing boats to launche but it could be closed any day!
No camping at Catawba state park. Check out East Harbor. Not far, great beach, clean, flush toilets, and nice shower houses. My favorite.

If your looking for a nice sand beach I would recommend East Harbor State Park in Marblehead.
