Theres nothing really for kids there, but it isn't some posh hotel that kids would be out of place.

I would have to say, no. Its more of a 1 nighter or romantic getaway. Has that old world charm & wear that might be lost on the youth. Not much in downtown Charleston that is kid friendly.

It is walking distance to many things. Quiet too. I would say good for any age.

I don't know what "kid friendly" means. There aren't playgrounds or things for kids to do. I didn't see any when I was there, but it's a regular hotel, not a Disney resort.
