Terrific hotel in the heart of downtown Charleston. The location truly cannot be beat in terms of access to anything and everything you would want to do in Charleston. It is very clean, has a lot of character, the service was great and it is very good value for the money.

We met some family and ate on top of the Market Pavilion Hotel for lunch. The views of downtown Charleston and King St were amazing while enjoying some great food. You can get a 360 degree view of Charleston which makes for some great photos. The fish tacos were great. We had a few drinks and some chips and salsa as well.

We were told that "we serve fine dining here". We don't understand why that was necessary. But it made us feel unwelcome and wondered if it was because of our "brown and mixed skin tones". We stayed and enjoyed some beautiful meals! Jeff, our waiter was awesome, kind and well versed with all the menu items. He knew his stuff! Kudos to Jeff! Gabe, my mother and children

This review is for the rooftop bar only . Fantastic views and the service was excellent and friendly. Not a great beer selection so I went with a classic Margarita and that is when the review unfortunately dropped a star . It just tasted like a cheap tourist mix and didn’t really suit the upscale location. Would however definitely return and enjoy the views but maybe a different drink choice.
