I don't even want to give it a star I was one of 3 people tried to get a refund due to having roaches. That's after we tried getting a different room they where able to get us into a different room only to have roaches in that one too.

There were some pros and cons, but overall, I had a positive experience, and would probably book again. The location is outstanding, and at the time of booking, it was the best deal in the area so central to downtown. I dealt with a few different staff members at the front desk, ranging from very polite and helpful, to mildly polite and short. With the room, it was fairly dated, but the bed was comfortable and clean. As far as the rest of the room, I'm not sure if it was the carpet or the bathroom floor, but whenever I stepped into the shower, after having walked around the room, there was significant dirt and debris washing off of my feet in the water. That was probably the biggest negative.

Overall, or stay was fine. The bed was comfy and clean. Has a mini fridge and microwave. Room is small and needed repairs and updating. Carpet was stained and water damaged at the door. You could see sunlight coming through the bottom of the door. Apparently flooding must be an issue on the bottom floor. Our room had a dehumidifier in it which I thought was odd until I was at the front desk and overheard a man saying his carpet was wet and there was mildew on everything in the room. We never spend much time in the room anyway when we're on vacation other than to sleep. However, now I wish we stayed somewhere else as I seen much nicer hotels at about the same price as this one.

I am appalled that you rent these rooms for this price at this quality. Upon entering the lobby I was immediately welcomed with tech issues from the maintenance team not updating the clean rooms in the hotels system after that 30 minute situation we were told there was a room ready for us. We went to our room and found a giant tornado carpet dryer plugged in. Upon inspecting the room we found mold on the curtains, the pillows, the picture frame, and the carpeting in front of the door was wet. The lamp shades were filthy. This is so ridiculous I chose to take my wife here for our 8 year anniversary and this is my first welcome to Charleston a nasty moldy hotel room. I do not recommend this at all

It is a few miles away (10?). The Amtrak station is in the city of North Chaleston.
No. I don't recommended the hotel for its amenities, although the Toast restaurant is fun and the staff are helpful. The hotel is THE best deal for its location. I was also pleasantly surprised by the room. Parking is a great deal too.
