Excellent accommodations, location, and service at the Rennesaince Hotel. My wife, in-laws and I spent 4 nights at the rennesaince hotel in downtown Charleston. The excellent service provided at the hotel was apparent from moment we checked in, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The staff members were extremely helpful in booking local tours and made us feel very special when dining/drinking at the Lenoir restaurant on the first floor. The location of the hotel is also excellent, in walking distance to all activities/restaurants downtown. Couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. Will definitely be back.

I would go as far to say this is a 3.5 star hotel. I’ve stayed here before (a few years ago) and the rooms are looking a dingy now. The floor in the room was dirty, I spilled water and wiped it up and the towel was black. I asked for housekeeping to come by and all they did was collect towel/trash, didn’t make the bed or anything else even after emphasizing the floor needed cleaning when I chatted the staff. They also closed the pool on me the one day I wanted to swim. Positive notes: fantastic location, valet/front desk staff were great, and the breakfast place was really good.

Hard to find a hotel within the top 3 uber brands that even rate 3 stars. Not the case here. Excellent service every step of the way. Great location for touring the town. Room was A+. Wish I could have stayed longer. Definitely on my return list.
