Camping is not permitted on Mackinaw Island.

Most seasonal "camping" in the area is RV camping. You may need to do some research if you plan to tent camp.

Hi Rose, There is no camping permitted within Mackinac Island State Park. However, there are several campgrounds located nearby on the mainland in Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. As others have mentioned, there are abundant hiking trails and areas to set up a hammock. Thank you!
