Always enjoy this park. We went there for a 50th Anniversary Celebration for friends at one of the shelters. This was our 2nd time at an event in this shelter. It was a humid afternoon, but the aircondioning in the shelter made it very comfortable & relaxing. The open shelter with the fireplaces is also very nice with plenty of picnic tables & grills. We have had several family reunions there over the years. Great views of the Mississippi River from the enclosed shelter as well as the overlook area.

Love the view from the bluff!! We watched the CP Holiday Train come through at night and during the day from up on the bluff. What a neat vantage point! Bellevue is a cute town, and so nice on the Mississippi. Always enjoy visiting here from north central Illinois.

What a wonderful State Park! Today we went to the butterfly garden, and there are tons of butterflies and other insects and birds there. It's a great place to relax and take a short walk. Hoping to take a look at the other trails in the near future!

Bikes are allowed on the roadways in State Parks, but not on the trails. Thanks for asking!
