Another Trempealeau area gem to visit year-round! So many hiking trails from the low impact trails to the strenuous. The views are stunning no matter where you go.

Beautiful park! My campsite was well shaded, deep and private. Staff was super friendly and helpful and the bathroom and facilities were clean. The only issue I had was the 3 inches of rain the first night, but that wasn't the parks fault. Great place! Recommended!

The Hike up to Brady's Bluff is a great workout, recommend pacing yourself on the steeper portions. The views are well worth the trek to the top!

I was not expecting the severe elevation change or the sheer beauty of this park! I thought it would be a mosquito infested walk through some marshy swamp area but I was astoundingly surprised with the hike I had. The closest state park I could compare it to would be Devil's Lake. The hike up and back down is not for beginners or the faint of heart- but the views to those who get to the top are extraordinary. Definitely a hidden gem.

I parked a 28' with a 8 foot fold out end and had decent room
Not wit a higher vantage point, few smaller spots.. Buena Vista in Alma has a good view u can drive up too little walk to the point but worth the walk
You can rent canoes and kayaks, not fishing boats at the park. You can check with the marina but I don't think there is any for boats
Yes everything is open. Camping available with park sticker and reservation. I do not recall if there are overnighting sites that are first come serve
No motor dirtbikes however the Great River State Trail runs through/adjacent to the park which is for bikes.
Nope. No gold in this area.
Lots'a color left and right .
Yes it is up by the maintenance shop
People might take a dip in the stream where the canoe landing is. I've seen people head that way with beach towels, recently. There's no official beach, though.
Googling "Perrot State Park check-in check-out times" yields the rules web page for Wisconsin state parks: https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/camping/camprules.html The website says that check-in check-out time is at 3 p.m.
Yes. usually the handicap sites are the only ones you cant because it is all blacktop
The trail from the maintenance shed up is usually snowy and icy at this time of year. The trail from the boat landing is probably a mix of snow, ice, and mud. From the park office, it's probably the same as the boat landing. I've never seen them close it but it's a possibility. Call the office. Bring good boots and trail crampons to be safe. There's areas you don't want to fall off of on that trail. I'd avoid the trail up from the boat landing because it has the most steep areas that you would not want to fall off.
No swimming in the river at the park, but in the town of Trempealeau where the State park is located has a public swimming pool.

I don't know the answer to that. But you can find out by calling the park office or perhaps on the DNR website.
