Beating place to kayaks, I would recommen water shoes for the shallow area cause the ground feel weird and it's like a seagrass type feeling. Beautiful hiking and picnicking, it's also a really nice place to ride 4 wheelers are dirt bikes, camping area looks nice also but have not used it yet.

Fun park where you can kayaking for hours in their water trail, swim, xcross, camp or just hike the trails. Very clean and well kept.

This park has so much to offer. Lake with paddles and kayaking (lessons available), camping sites, mountain biking and hiking trails, fishing and dirt biking and much more.

The water was extremely dirty, honestly I would love to start something where we can go out and get it cleaned up. It was pretty gross I couldn't believe some people were swimming in it. Looked more like a swamp then anything. Park ranger is pretty strict, so be extremely cautious with speed and fully stopping at hidden stop signs. Been driving for 11 years and got my first ticket there, and was one of many who got ticketed there. So, be prepared for that.

Yes! It's fun. Be careful if you where shoes of any sort because the sand is like quick sand. I watched it suck up a shoe that we never got back.
Yes look up Finger Lakes on Google it will tell you all about the campgrounds swimming area and everything so very nice place
Yes.. You can bring your own paddle board, floaties, etc. There are various a d safe place to start from. It's a wonderful time.
They take very good care of the park. A park ranger is on duty and lives on the property. They make sure people clean up their trash. There are picnic tables at all the camp sites. As well as in other areas such as the main fishing lake Rocky Fork. Which is full of nice sized crappy that are hitting very well at this time.
Probably. I have seen 4 seater UTVs there. I have not personally ridden the trails there. I was there for a nearby music festival.
To be honest I think your more likely to get stopped on a street legal bike. then a dirt bike mini bike or 4 wheeler out here. I had a mini bike when kid rode it out here. Keep it under 5 miles on the main road. Not that you want to ride the main road anyway. Blaze the trails to the camp site. Park ranger will be on the look out for extra fish and extra speed and just overall extra people. hes harmless as long as no laws have been broke.
Nope. There is a kayak trail to follow that my wife and friends have been on. They said it was fun!
Yes, 8am to about 5pm, when it starts to get dark.
Yes, they have to be on a 10ft leash at least, but they are not aloud in any State park building.
Please check the hours they are open. They have reduced hours.
It is a 2 mile bike and 5 mile walking trail(s). Beautiful when I went. Can only imagine now and as seasons change.
Reservations are ALWAYS the best way to guarantee you have a pad and gives you an option to pick one you Ike most. This close to spring camping it still advisable to call ahead. But if you are adventurous and are willing to take a chance and may end up in Wal-Mart parking lot if you can't find a park then live free, some of my best memories are those spent boonedocking in winter because sites were closed or full. Safe travels and have fun.
Yes it is!
Not that I am aware of. But campsite is pretty close to the swimming hole.
Yes they started renting on july 1st
No
Yes you can! The beach is open you just have to social distance.
The beach is NOT the little wood chip area with the canoe rental. To get to the beach there is a paved road at the back right corner of the parking area, past the johnny-on-the-spot. Walk down the road and it will end at the sandy beach.
I took my Polaris ranger and they wouldn't give me a permit for it. But they didn't say I couldn't drive it. I think the restriction is 54" wide or at least there is a restriction. I never unloaded the ranger.
$13 basic site, $23 electric. You can reserve online but there's a fee for that ($8.50)
Its $10 for 2hrs or $25 for the day. And they supply life jacket and paddle
$5 per ATV per day. Most Missouri State Park do not charge an entry fee. Finger Lakes SP only charge for the ATV trails, camping and special use items like kayak rentals. All other parts of the park are free, gun range, walking trails, swimming beach.
Probably not it's going to be really wet
Yes but... "Side-by-side ORVs having a maximum width of 50 inches, bucket seats, seat belts and a certified roll-over protective structure are allowed in the ORV areas but it is recommended they be kept on designated trails. Side-by-side ORVs are prohibited on the motocross track. Operators and passengers must wear seat belts and helmets when operating a side-by-side. Passengers are not allowed to ride in the cargo area of a side-by-side." - Missouri state parks
Like they said there is a shooting range. There is no charge for the use of the facility. Just mind your manners.
16 and under require direct adult supervision. I don't believe there is a restriction on minimum age though. I talked the park office about taking my 4 year old son out on his crf50 and they said it was fine. We just went out in the morning during the week and we were the only two out there.
Answering my own question, yes they do sell flags for $12
They also have a swimming beach as well as canoe rentals. There is also a very nice campground with children's toys.
Yes just check with the ranger station when you arrive. Also insure your baffles are in place its been dry and sparks need to be arrested in your exhaust.
I know they have kayak rentals but I don't know much about it
If you're looking for lunkers don't waste your time. If you're looking for a relaxing day it'd be good for that.
I believe that there's only a gate to the campground.
Free except for fishing license if under 65 if over 65 and missouri resident no fishing license
Low
Showers are not open. The vault bathrooms are open. Showers will open April 1
UTV'S are aloud. They just have to be 50 inches or less in width. Also must a flag attached to the back, and wear helmets while riding.
Not if you have your own boat. There were plenty available for rent when we were there and seemed to be first come first serve.
