We have never had a problem bringing wood to the site. But the campsite does not let you have fires year round. Check with the rangers before building your bonfire.

No, you are not legally allowed to bring outside firewood into GA state parks. This is because you may accidently bring in invasive bugs with the wood.

They prefer you buy it from them. With the issue of bringing in non- native invasive insects and them decimating wooded areas, it is safer to get the wood there... besides it's 5 bucks

no, have to buy wood from them. When we registered we requested wood and paid for it then. they brought it to the camp site a little while after we were set up.

When we were there, we saw someone loading firewood in the wood storage bins in the campground areas. They put up a sign for the price and I would guess you need to get with the camp rep to purchase what you need.
