Just stop to look around and stretch our feets from a long drive. It's a beautifu park, will definitely come back to camp with my family.

We always enjoy staying at the cabins in George Cossar State Park. However, these are not luxury cabins. Think one step up from camping! The bed linens and towels are clean, but expect to have to clean everything else yourself. I always bring cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom and kitchen. Once I'm done, everything is fine for the rest of the time. Bring everything that you need for cooking and cleaning. There are no kitchen rags, pot holders, or kitchen towels. Our cabin had no kitchen cutting knifes. There were some basics like spoons, forks, plates, cups, and a few old pots and pans. Also, there is no wifi there, but they do have satellite TV. The park is a peaceful place with several beautiful lake views, and I will continue to come back for a peaceful retreat.

$4 day use fee paid on the honor system on the way in to the park. Other than a boat launch, not sure what the park is supposed to offer as far as day use. And the trail by the boat launch disappears as soon as it went past the trailhead. It's pretty and all, but it's surrounded by Army Corps Of Engineer land that looks just like it, is on the same lake, and didn't cost me a thing to ride around on for 2 hours.

Beautiful place. Nice, level spots. We barely saw our kids because they enjoyed the park so much
