Beautiful park! We were there when the bluebells were in full swing in mid-May; very pretty! My kids loved walking across the cement blocks in the river.

Awesome! Perfect little 2.5 mile loop you can do around the park. One of the crossings is partially washed out as of 5/20/22. Overall great little park with less traffic than Whitewater.

Great trails! Very fun to be so close to the river. Can't wait to go back. Challenging narrow path with great winter views of the river. Go beyond the loop. You won't regret it.

We had a little trouble understanding the maps but that ended up leading us on a few trails we might not have taken. Especially the very steep incline that led to the overlook. It was worth every minute of the hike just to see the valley and bluffs from that vantage point. The path is only a single file deer path, but that made it even more enjoyable if you want to experience nature at its core. We are trying to do the passport club and visit all the Minnesota state parks and this was our first stamp!

Warning: as of 9/30/2019, neither Hiking Club trail bridge across the river is passable. The west bridge is washed downstream, and east is a extremely hazardous due to fast, high water over the bridge. Someone please add a reply when it's safe again.

There is a 3rd bridge downstream (southeast), which is also quite hazardous, and you'd have to get into the water to ford there (as with the east bridge as well as the west crossing). So please, don't risk life and limb now!

Hello all..would this weekend (5/18) be a good time to visit park for the bluebells? Appreciate your feedback!
