We really enjoy going here. There's different things to do like fishing, boating, hiking, camping, or just having a picnic with the family. Plenty of places to roam and enjoy nature and your family.

I like the park. Walking around, hiking, site seeing all are enjoyable. If you're hungry, the food selection is poor. Restaurant workers are just to eager to leave. Twice we visited and arrived approximately 15 minutes before closing and were told they were closed! Next time we'll bring our own food for sure.

Trail was a little rough for my wheelchair but the views made the short stretch that I explored well worth the effort.
gooda brown
really dope place. Great hiking, one trail went completely around the lake, so constant views. Camping area looked updated and maintained. Pet friendly! Boat ramp for fishing boats.

April 6th through March 15th. Check the IDNR website for stocking locations, Beaver Dam is not always one of them.
Yes as long as you have lights. BTW its trolling motors only.
I was only going by number one seeing kids with swimsuits and trunks while out there. Which could be due to boating or simply just wearing them. And also by the beaver dam website where it clearly reads their is designated swimming area. The page I believe was updated or made last year. So I suppose the beaver dam page should probably update their policies. Sorry If I did give you the wrong info...but jus going by what their site states as well. I've been going there for about 13 years and this Is news to me to lol
Yes and yes
They have canoes and paddle boats for rent
Should be no dump fee
I am not sure if you can rent boats but I would just call them and ask.
Yes, as long as you have a camper there as well.
Mostly yes, but there are melted areas
I know you can rent pavilions. It seems possible to me, but calling to confirm would be best. No guarantee that other people won't walk by
Park is open year-round. Campground store is closed for the season, but camping is open. Bathhouse and showers are open all year and water in the park in freeze proof faucets is on.
Yes it is, could he a bit chilly, but it is....
Yes. Call and make reservations.
Yes
Beaver Dam Lake.
5 hunters were permitted to bow hunt out there last year
No fee, trolling motor only except for loading.
Yes we were there a couple of weeks ago and had one set up.
Yes. Sites are first come first serve. See the camp host when you arrive. You will fill out the paperwork, pay for your site and get a permit to hang at the site.
Camper sites, so I will be using a camper lol
Yes! For campers and parties, only rent spots cannot be reserved, and several electrical sites
There is a Conservation Officer Chris that is always there, Ask for him, very nice guy, I bet he would come and visit Southlawn.
I was just there and it was closed. Don't know if they're on vacation or if it's every Monday. I would call to make sure.
10 a night
According to their website, you have to have a permit and only a certain number of hunters are allowed. The applications have to be submitted in March.
