I bought a 5 month old kitten last weekend from the Nevada Humane in Reno. She was fixed 2 weeks before I got her and I noticed that she has a bump sticking out of her belly where the surgery was. Is this normal or should I get her checked out?

Chad Miller, she doesnt have the stitches anymore its just healing up now, but it is by that area. If the bump doesnt go away when she heals should I take her to get checked?

Is it right along where the stitches were? If so and it's just a bump and it doesn't get bigger or seem to bother the cat I would wait and monitor the situation for a few days and see if it decreases in size or goes away.
