I will be passing through on a road trip. Is there anything I must see, specific area, or scenic road I can visit that won't take more than an hour or 2? I will consider camping in the area. Ill be there mid April-end of April sometime. TIA

Salmon River Trailhead, great forest hike along the river. Picnic spots on nice sunny Riverside rocks. Walk-in campsites. Go on a weekday to have the place to yourself. Visit the nearby Sugarpine Drive-in after for some great food and treats...
