First time snowshoeing. The lake looked beautiful, but remember to walk towards the campground if you're looking for the shorter loop. The path is well traveled and honestly, snowshoes probably weren't necessary, just a good set of hiking boots might work. Plenty of parking. We arrived around 11am on a Sunday and got a spot. Pick up a snow park pass on your way up the mountain.

Amazing experience!!! Beautiful views, totally worth the 2mi walk. The snow has been compacted by all the snow shoes that went through there so if you stay on the road you should be fine. We stayed the night there ☺️.

We snoeshoed for our first time here!! Gorgeous hike, lots of snow when we were there! We did a loop that was about 4 miles.

This place is perfect for a nice walk in the snow. There are two trails, a long hike and a smaller hike that over lap halfway. Our trip took is approximately 3 hours. Make sure to come early, we came at around 9am and the parking lot was nearly full, by the time we left at 1pm the parking lot was packed as well as both sides of the drive in lot. There was also a ling line winding down the highway waiting for ppl to leave.

Yes but for the love of God please clean up after it. I went up about a week ago and there was sooooo much dog poop, very disheartening

Are the hours here correct, only open until 6pm? I remember a couple years ago doing snowshoe late in the evening. Do the hours change later in the season? Is there a snopark nearby that stays open later if not?

I don't believe it gets closed at all, there is no gate or other means to close it. Some people even stay overnight in camper vans, at least it looks like that.
