Literally the only nice person in Sacramento works here. I spent 4 hours in Sacramento during a layover on my way to Portland, and every single person I talked to, whether it was for directions or for a good place to eat, was either super rude, or very, very intoxicated. Everyone except the woman working the register at Evangeline's, where I bought some gifts for some friends back home. So if you're a tourist from the Midwest, like myself, this is the only place you will find a nice person. Thank you, Evangeline's cashier. I'd name my child after you, but since I don't have any children, this review will have to do.

There is so many items here, two levels of costumes. Nora was super helpful with wigs and gave us all the important information we needed to maximize our time there. Nora helped us find what we were looking for as well. Alice checked out our stuff for us efficiently too, very nice overall and i will return.

There are no descriptive words to properly express how integral of a role Evangeline’s had played in my family’s and my expression of style and living in the last 33 years. From Halloween costumes, reenactment garb and special occasion clothes to home decoration and gift giving we have patronized this store for every facet of celebration in our lives. They’re especially good for finding that special gift for “the hard to buy for” individual. There’s something for everyone from comedy, fantasy, horror, magic, belly dance, rave, Gothic, Renaissance, Medieval Times, Old West, Old Hollywood, Holidays like 4 of July, Dia de Los Muertos, St. Paddy’s Day, Yule, Christmas New Years, etc… They probably have what you’re looking for and far more! Thank you for being here and for all the beauty and class you’ve contributed to our lives over the years.

Yes to wigs! We love it when people come in to try on the wigs - it's great to pick out exactly what you want, plus it's a lot of fun! Regarding the lenses - that one is a no. We do not sell colored contacts, but you should have some luck at your eye doctor. Have a great day!

Hi Saralyn, you will find quite an assortment of the old world from Greeks and Romans to Egyptians. Beyond the costumes we also have complete accessories from strap-up leggings for a Roman soldier to palm fronds when your queen requests to be fanned. Come explore the 2nd and 3rd floor!
The last few times I have gone they check your temperature at the door as well as have you sanitize on your way in. They count how many people come into the store, they also wear masks and Gloves. I have not seen them sanitize between customers, but I also have not purchased anything the last few times I have gone.
Is that a name brand they have very nice costumes the have three floors of you name it even a Disney floor #3 you name it as I don't look @ name brands but there very nice last for years
Yes I went in must wear mask of course and they are limiting how many people can be in store .
They do sell some frilly petticoats, I have not seen any hoop skirts. I highly recommend visiting Evangeline's because the store is awesome!
When I was there about 3 weeks ago they had endless costumes for mermaids and anything that goes with it

They carry all kinds of novelties but is such a unique store that they do sell out of items quickly. Give them a call if they have it maybe they'll hold it for you.
