Yeah its really steep. But I believe if you take the path heading to the right at the Y not to far in that its a less steep route. Older folks seemed to take that way instead of going the left route and using ropes for multiple steep parts.
Hi! My friend and I just hiked this trail last week...we didn’t know there was two different paths and we ended up taking the extremely steep option which involved lowering yourself to the bottom using the several provided ropes. Once we were at the bottom we saw people with dogs and kids and that’s how we knew there had to be another trail, we just couldn’t find it...If you can find the less steep option you could take kids and a dog but if you’re like us and can only find the the insanely steep route, hell no would you be able to take dogs and/or children on it. There is way too much loose rock and dirt.
Yes but there are a lot of other dogs there too.
Yes! Dogs are definitely allowed here, just be aware that some parts of the trail might be tough for a dog to do
Yes but keep in mind there plenty of other hiker and dog Even more on a sunny day
Personally I’d never take my dog here. We just did this hike yesterday and observed someone’s Lab get a cut paw (and this is after watching it get tripped up in underbrush and trip a number of times over rocks), whimpering and crying. The owner had to carry it around afterwards. “Can” your dog be taken here? Yes, no sign or law will stop you. Doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. And lastly, if your dog doesn’t go, it’ll never know and it’ll still worship you when you come home.
