They are overcharging!!! $375 to get my dog out, oh wait almost $700 for both my dogs!!!!! I’m so mad I want to explode. Thought this was to help the community reunite their lost pets!!! I’m starting a petition to make them charge the same amount for every encounter! This is robbery!! If I don’t get my pets for not paying their ridiculously high price, they can keep your pet and sell it. That’s crazy! We have a loving home with kids who love their dogs. Instead they steal them by making it impossible for someone to retrieve their loving pet! No one can afford that price!

They are deffinitely more worried about collecting any fees than reuniting family members. If you can't afford the ransom, they will galdy hold them in their cells until you come up with the money.(charging everyday for room n board. So thats fun) they also change the fees and amounts and reasons for the fees. They seem to be able to do what they want, charge what they want, change the ransom and reasons why. I sincerely hope they never HELP us again. County extortionists! If you find a dog, please take it to any Vet, or place they cam check for a chip. ANY WHERE BUT HERE. PLEASE!

Their mission states "To provide a safe haven for animals in transition, protect animals from harm, and provide tools to the residents of our county to live safely, responsibly and respectfully with animals." Yet when a resident of the county calls to try and bring in abandoned kittens they found on the side of the road, they wont accept them! I could understand if they are full, but there not. Not sure why they call themselves an animal shelter, they certainly are not doing these animals any good.

Me and my gf adopted a little kitten there for $80 bucks. 2006 I believe. We still have her. She is a little deaf. She is a biter, but she loves also. I am happy that we found her. She is very independent. I only adopt. If Bonnie L Hays is rude to people, go to the humane society or cat adoption team in Tualitin. They BL Hays was not rude to us. I adopt only..

Prob irrelevant now but Bonnie Hayes won’t euthanize pets to my knowledge. They very rarely euthanize animals
I just adopted 2 cats that were owner surrendered.
I'm interested in adopting a small doggie not a Chihuahua those any suggestions?
If it is a stray cat, only $10 but if you think that it may belong to someone then it is $50
No! Shelters and most vet offices will do it for free. Be warned, all it will give them is a serial number and a manufacturer. You'll have to call to get the information from it. (I once lost my cat's paperwork and had the vet scan them for me so I could update address.)
They do take in strays but only during business hours I believe
It takes time for animals to adapt to each other!
Contact Washington county animal control if you're unable to resolve the issue with the owners of the animals! Some people can become hostile and unfriendly neighbor's if they find that you made no attempt to speak to them prior to getting them a hefty citation! Most owners will take steps to accommodate their neighbors! Good luck
Call them?
Yes please do.
Yes. They will have adoption records.
I recommend looking at their website and/or calling their number (they have a menu of options), all the information is on one or both of those.
They do accept donations. They use a specific food for the cats but u can always try. U can just bring them to the shelter during business hours.
FCCO! You need the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon. They do spay and neuter all day every day.
Please call the shelter, there is a surrender fee but I'm not sure how much it it. I feel like its somewhere around $20
Not too sure about that one. Call the shelter, I'm sure someone can help you.
This is not a vet office. I would consult your local vet.
What traps are you referring to?
Washington county animal shelter. https://www.co.washington.or.us/HHS/AnimalServices/AnimalControl/Complaints/abuse-and-neglect.cfm
Yes, I believe 3 days for owners to claim, if no medical issues then adoptable
They do have a freezer where they keep all of the deceased pets so you can bring a deceased animal there, yes.
If the kitty is still hanging around, I suggest posting it on Craigslist and hopefully someone will find their lost kitty, if not then you can turn it into the shelter for $10
They do have a certain day of the week where if you adopt a senior cat (over 7 years old I think) then the adoption price is only $15
They are!! It looks like their info page is out of date but the shelter is actively recruiting new volunteers right now. Your best bet will probably be to call and ask. I've been volunteering for years now and its wonderful. I hope you can join us!
As of yesterday, no Maltese! The best way to find out is to go to the Bonnir Hays petfinder website and keep an eye out for new arrivals. Purebred dogs are unusual at the shelter (unless they're pit bulls or chihuahuas), but they sometimes show up so definitely keep an eye on petfinder.
If you look on their petfinder listings you can see what dogs they have in at the moment
The best way to find out is to go to the Bonnie Hays Petfinder. We don't get a lot of yorkies, but you could get lucky!
Their fees are on their website.
Their fees are posted on their website.
I have seen bunnies there!
Western pet supply in Beaverton helps with low cost vaccinations with no examination fee on certain days!
No but you can buy one for cheap at costal farm and ranch
Probably take them to the Oregon humane society instead. If you took them there it would be about a 50 dollar fee per dog
Yes
No, unfortunately it isn't. If an animal isn't adopted within a time limit it will be put down. I don't agree with this, in fact I feel it should be a no kill shelter. Also the service isn't the best. I've adopted two cats here and both bad experiences. The employees are rude and don't answer questions very accurately.
Depends. It's most likely they don't since it's just a rescue shelter, but its wouldn't be the worst to take a look. If you are looking for German Shepherds specifically I'd search for breeders within your state. Breeders would be your best bet for a healthy, purebred dog :)
