Laura Jadeed has twice reported that Bonnie L. Hayes does not take owner-surrendered animals. Regarding how animals arrive at BLH, their website says, " Others are surrendered by their owners who can no longer care for them."

If the shelter is at capacity or close to they wont take owner surrendered becuase they only have so much space for them
