Try looking at Island Sanctuary in Port Clinton. Ask for Nancy. I believe they had a neglected pair come in that had to be shaved down. They have been vetted. They have to be adopted as a pair. Call and ask for Nancy if you are interested. They will also have to clear you and your home through visitation. They take adoption very seriously. I found their organization very helpful and caring. They will want the same for their rescue furever home.

Have you tried talking to the mananger at the park? Try to find the owners , I f theyre malnourished and abndoned you can male arragments for. Rescue. But the H.S. can't just pick up kittens that have a possible family someone there has to take responsibility for them or I would call all area shelters in hopes of some kind of help. They will die in this weather .

I know there is very big program for animals that the Humane Society rescues and then gives them to fosters until they can be adopted. I'm not sure if you can bring in you own dog and ask for a foster, it how much that would cost. My guess it's that they would offer you suggestions of places to board your dog while you recover. There are a lot of places that offer different things for the animal (watching Animal Planet, kitty condos with views of bird feeders and butterfly gardens, etc) and prices are all over the board There are also private groups and companies that your can find online that offer services like what you have described.

Is the Toledo Humane Society aware of this case? Have you contacted them about this incident? I'm sure it's very difficult to address claims of animal abuse if you aren't aware it is happening. If you have, can you show proof of the actions they did or did not take to resolve the issue?
